Morning all
Sea - Super Golden Cross confirmed. It's a medium/long term indicator and this is TEK which seems to do whatever it wants whenever it wants.
Not sure figs are updated yet but yesterday the 50 sma was 10.33 and the 200 sma 10.03.
There appears to be a clot of churning going on (some big trades going through) so hopefully the overhang is getting cleared quickly.
SP needs to start moving northwards as 50SMA will decrease faster than the 200 sma if we trade below it for too long. If it crosses back over we'd be looking at a Death Cross (sounds appealing doesn't it hahaha)
I expect the news channels will open soon but get your frustration. I also switch off after a raise because there's always this overhang thing before it kicks on.
GL whatever you do
Also skirting along the bottom of it's rising channel and RSI coming down. Lot's of headroom for a run here. I expect any half decent news will be readily bought into.
What was the split down in valuation between the portfolio companies for Angel to come up with 74p fair value. That's quite a mark up after their early 20 something valuation (granted Microsalt has doubled since)
50 day SMA crossed the 200 SMA today, forming a Golden Cross. A very decent indicator of an emerging uptrend.
Technically the 50 SMA should stay above the 200 SMA for 3 days but looking at the chart that seems a 'given' unless something freakish to the downside happens with the current SP
It's probably a Super Golden Cross which is pretty rare, (happens when the 50 day SMA has been trading under the 200 day SMA for 200 trading days (getting on for a calendar year). Maybe someone with some sophisticated charting software could confirm ? (I'm not going to work it out manually but I'm confident it is)
Not sure if this is TEK specific or if it's just systemic to an AIM market recovering ? ( think D Monies was watching that), and is happening elsewhere. As stocks start recovering you would expect to see it more often.
On indexes such as the nasdaq it's 100% reliable, going back a long way (decades) but we're talking a massive sample of stock there so not to be viewed in the same way on an individual stock.
Either way, it's a very nice indicator signalling an uptrend. Don't expect fireworks over night but interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks.
GLA - I'm sniffing a change of fortunes here
HAT has a higher than usual 'insider ownership/holder register than most so I personally think charts shouldn't be dismissed here. Quite the opposite. This is a very tradeable share if you follow the pointers. I've only recently following it but at some point over the last few weeks all the signals to sell would have been there (Death Cross etc). It now trades well below it s 200 day MA , so far off that it won't be breaching that for a while, if at all
Results on the 12th so all will be revealed. Personally I don't think they'll be bad, just maybe not quite good enough. Could easily be a frothy spike which would probably be worth selling into imho. Someone has dumped £340 000 worth today. That wasn't a single transaction and would have taken a while to work so would account for the weakness here recently. Hardly inspires confidence but could just be someone rebalancing with a view to buy back in.
No-one on here knows. The market is pricing in average to weak results but the market is usually extreme so they might surprise.
GLA
If microsalt does what we think it might, it may well solve all these funding problems.
If it's £2+ next year for example, and TEKs holding 30 million shares, they can just sell a million everyone now and then. Won't make much difference if the SP is ascending. Could more or less fund everything going forward
275-265 looks a reasonable mid-term target but with the results looming probably better to wait, especially if there's an initial fluffy spike with no substance. Could take it up to 390ish on the usual over-enthusiasm and typical write up. That would be where to slap a short on.
Anyways, I'm not here to run this stock down. Just alerted to it by some big mouth on another BB so I've been having a good look at it now.
GLA, DYOR and beware of anonymous posters, including me
You won't get anything worthwhile out of him 5% - He's talking his own book as usual. Add to the fact that a change of government will have some sort of impact on any business of this nature, even if it's psychological at first, interest rates should start easing. - As this occurs money will rotate into smaller, more speculative caps, as it did out of them when this last cycle started a couple of years back.
Chart looks dire. Only thing that punters can wish for here is excellent results this March. Average or worse and I doubt there will be much to stop it drifting lower.
All imho of course, for what it's worth
I'll let you know for sure end of next week, or beginning of the week after. Still not confirmed so I'll stop banging on about it, just in case - don't need to be ridiculed for my predictions, even if this is a BB for doing just that !
It 's too early to say and I don't want to get my hopes up, but yes, this particular analysis is based on moving averages. Can't say for certain because I have no idea what the SP will be next week but we're heading for a Super Golden Cross by the looks of it. Not that common and it's about as good as you can get as far as long term uptrends go. Only TEK can murder that sort of indicator but this time, if we get there I think we'll be good. It will bring technical traders in too and they'll buy on any news if the charts are right. That' s what I do elsewhere anyways. That's why you also see selling on good news sometimes. If the charts are indicating heavily overbought people will just sell. Helps you understand the big picture.
It's also bounced off the bottom of the channel (circa 10p) so although there are a few sell indicators going off, I think it's shaping up for a very good run and an uptrend.
Kind of ties in with everything that's been going on, has just happened and what's likely to happen (sounds like waffle I know)
Regards
Well - He's not called loads of waffle for nothing Puma
Every BB has it's numpty. He's pretending he doesn't read my posts so please ask him for his chart analysis over the short term and where he thinks the SP is going....cue...................something about special dividends :)
Chart still looking okay and we're still forming something nice, although slightly delayed due to the weakness in the SP over the last few days....but still all on.
I think the raise, was probably needed to clear the way for a good run
Yes. The usual drivel from Loads of waffle
Please relieve us of all our shares. We really believe in this company but we won't to offload half/most all on the cheap. Any would be buyer is going to be looking at that genius ploy with an arched eyebrow to say the least.
Bell more than trippled in it's first year too and the SP held up nicely after the year. This is where TEK made a mistake. They should have offloaded a decent wedge right there.
A tie in for a year is an excellent float. Gives the company time to show it's worth (or not)
Lucyd didn't have a tie in, which is imho is how it would have to be if you were selling your own stake, and look how well that went. Granted an inferior product in comparison but gives the wider picture.
Utter bs which we will now be subjected to whilst the SP is weak. BAF if you want a laugh check out HAT. If that's not in the £2s by the end of the year I'll eat mine
Hi Sea
Just over 10p here, but I have far too many so will have to off a decent amount at some point.
The way I saw it was I'll be fked if I sell at mates rates sp and I'll have some too. Very overweight to say the least !
It's down to pure awful sentiment I think Clenched. For me Lucy was the really blow. Stupid business to get involved in full stop. Bell, just unfortunate but they were totally right to back it.
Perversely as sick as i am with how they've managed this over the last couple of years we know that there is potential and that the SP can shift like crazy when it get's a headwind.
Just have to sit tight for now I think
