Bamps Hi, Not giving advice but I am so pleased that I opened up an ISA account. Each year I transfer the max ( �20k ) from my normal account into my ISA account. Remember in an ISA there is NO tax or Capital gains Tax. You still pay the stamp duty as normal and any other small amounts for trading. I wish I started with an ISA but at the time I opened my account I did not know about ISA and only started with advise of others on here about 4 years ago. ATB Tom :-))

Advice not advise

Well as stated yesterday, SP could fall and it could rise, today it is down back to 169.37 but that will not be for long. Good top up price in my opinion, and thats not advise to buy !!!!!! Oh well have to sit on the fence again and wait, this is frustrating for sure !!!!!! Bit of a shame it did not hit 175 as others advised ??.

Nige Hi, With only 6 days left for the EXDD I am a little surprised that we start today back down to 203.60. I only wish I could have sold some ITV to top up here but they have not met my sell level yet, maybe later. Noticed all markets have stared down this morning maybe thats why the fall. It goes to show how this SP can rise or fall very quickly. By the way someone pointed out yesterday that the offensive posts from Bash were removed and his mate tippee has been banned for his abuse. Nige you are very welcome. I have held an ISA account for about 4 years and I do not set one up every year ???? HSBC may be different but that sounds weird to me as if you set up an ISA say 5 years ago that ISA account would still be there as you have money / shares in that account so to set a new one up every year could not be correct surely. Once you set up the account its there to use. I set my ISA account up within an hour and online it was simple. Cheers Tom :-))

Nige Hi again, Just another note:- If you already hold an ISA account and you are transferring 20k from your bank you must set up the transfer account details within the ISA account so your money can be transferred from your bank, similar to setting up a direct debit. If in doubt speak to your dealing company.

TR hi, I see what you mean and yes I agree it is worth a laugh for sure. There are only 2 or 3 taking the mick as normal. Now its only one main poster as Trippy has gone on a permanent holiday. Maybe bash is next for a long holiday. I do not think my 172 will go through today as we seem to be stuck at around 170 / 171 so after today's close. I will reset again for tomorrow. Nige Hi, I am with ii used to be TD. I opened up 2 accounts one as a normal account, ( years ago before I knew about the ISA thing ) and the other an ISA account. When it is time to put your �20k into the ISA account you need the money in your normal account then use the cash & transfers or withdraw/transfer cash. What I did was to sell 20k worth of shares waited the two days for clearance then transferred the 20k from my normal acc into my ISA account, then waited a few days for a drop in those shares then bought them back. If you have any problems phone your account broker and they will talk you through the transfer or do it for you. Tell me how you got on. ATB & good luck.

Johnson Hi, Well that's done now. Just for the record and NOT giving any advice, set two more sells at 172. I just can not wait any longer as we seem to have stagnated again at just under 172, wish I had set it late last night or very early this morning but missed that boat, will not miss it again so I hope we hit it later now at 170.40 so only a wee bit more to seal the deal. Bamps Hi, Thanks for your kind post, I take it that one of the Trolls is back, no doubt Bash. I have filtered him and his childish mates so I have the pleasure in not reading their nonsense. I am really surprised that He and his mates have not been banned as most of their post are offensive and classified as personal attacks even reporting them seems to have failed in the past so the filter in on and it will stay that way as they are just not worth the effort. TR That is my opinion only on a possible sell or buy. The SP could fall and it could rise. If I knew what way it would go I would not be on this board chatting about possible deals that I personally am going to do, I would be in Barbados sitting on a beach LOL. I do doubt if ITV will reach 175 in the immediate future and that is in the next few days NOT in 6 months time where it could be anywhere. ITV were over 200 so if they fell below 170 whats wrong with a re buy. Anyway I think you are quite happy buying TW are you not, and especially now at 205.05 my thinking was welcomed then. Johnson hi, As you know I set a limit Yesterday at 172 over on ITV but it never met that price so I think now that I will set another two ( 25% each ) 172/173 today for sells to top up here. I do not think ITV will get to 175 just yet so I thing a sell and a later buy back is the best way forward. Cheers Tom :-))

Johnson Hi, Just one other point. ITV as you know have a tendency of rising but then falling week by week, same as TW. This has just happened today at a rise to 172.10 then a fall to 170.30. The key turning points ATM are:- Key Turning Points:- 1st Resistance Point 172.167 2nd Resistance Point 173.333 Last Price 171.000 1st Support Level 169.167 2nd Support Level 167.333 A 50% sell at 173 would be good as the SP could go below 170 again according to the brokers information, so that would be a good buy back too. It will be interesting to see where we are after the Dow opens. ATB Tom :-))

Johnson, yes totally agree. While TW are stagnant at around 203 / 204 and ITV are rising slowly I still have time on my side. And tell the truth at these small rises by the day there is no point in selling for the 10.4 divi and the charges to buy TW and also the buy back here. So will wait and see what happens up to the 30th May. If ITV still have these small rises I will hold as yourself. ITV still can reach the 200, and IMO before Christmas and maybe sooner so that is my problem in even at a 50% sell off. ???? As you know I hold a large amount on TW so if I do not top up with a sell here I am not really concerned where the cash is coming from !!!! Will keep you up to date on what road I will take. ITV now 170.95, now that's how quick it can turn, maybe 173 after lunch . ATB Tom :-))

Hi ya, On looking at these slow rises there is no real point to sell, if they continue a small rise by the day as they have, TW still at 204 ?. In my thoughts I felt that we would not see such a rise so that's why I was talking about the opportunity of a 172, however this looks good ATM and I am now having 2nd thoughts, bit of a ponder I must admit lol. I really do not know which way to turn. I will await till this afternoon to make a move, got me bags packed !!!! Cheers Tom :-)
