Yes I agree but it won't be until testing happens that we'll know if we've got commercial oil. (If we encounter oil). All this 10 bag on oil shows is wild ramping IMO

they've reached the first casing point, run casing and running tests on thier BOP's

it is going very well but they certainly havent reached any reservoirs yet!!

This well is a million miles away from the Puntland well so forget about that, I've been stuck since then too GRRRRR.... ;)

It's very different, Puntland was a wildcat well in a location with no other producing wells and no oil strikes.

If you google "oil in Alaska" you'll find they've found a bit in and around the location of the current well.

I agree though the ramping on oil shows is pointless, an oil show confirms the presence of oil but not commenrcial moveable hydrocarbons and that full test is a good few weeks away

I hope they update after they have done this bit:

"From mid-March, a series of unstimulated flow tests will be conducted on multiple intervals between 1,899m MD and 2,070m MD to establish the presence of deepest moveable gas"

That statement could also be interpreted as that they have already tested moveable gas and just need to identify the deepest interval

It's probably 8 weeks till we'll know the frac result...

Do we know anything yet about a date for another hearing or was the last hearing it and they've been left to sort it out themselves?

I mean hard facts now not just what people think might be happening?

I'd say oil shows are a given too. Oil shows will confirm the presence of oil, which we kind of know anyway from 3d Siesmics.

IMO this ramping of 20p on oil shows is bollox investors will waith for a commercial test, and looking at the volume it does appear this way

If you only get advice off strangers on an anonymous chat board then that would be daft. Use it as one source of info. DYOR it's all there on company presentation. There's always going to be the wildly positive rampers then the "evil" negative shorters boo!! Make up your own mind I personally don't think we'll see massive swings on oil shows. But if the testing is positive on a hydrocarbon discovery then yes it could 20 bag.... which would be fantastic. For an exploration well I think rmp have a great chance in this location. Not long to wait and see how it goes
