Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I have seen big oil tipped twice today on American CNBC today and I'm not really watching it. We are on our way.
That Boko Haram lot are horrific. I was on Trumpery Twitter and someone stunned me with a terrible video.
Lowboy 45: If you support them how come you keep using that word?
I'm guessing you are short?
No need to be ******. Its their country...
I'm hoping to buy a run down house to do up for an investment after a bit of a drop. Live off grid. Wood from the woods for heat. No TV. Keep bills to a minimum.
A chap on CNBC just gently tipped big oil after a whole lot of waffle about the markets in general.
They're getting on it I reckon :)
CNBC/Cramer were pumping up Bitcoin yesterday. Perhaps something is happening here or maybe its a pump and dump. I don't have a clue. I don't even know how to buy bitcoin. I'll avoid anyways. The froth ometer is at all time highs. Thanks anyway tacet.
The silence is deafening here today.
BP is mega cheap with oil above $60
Come on...
Sign of what exactly? If its not going down do volumes matter?
Saitomam could be the smartest one here. Just playing with us. Nobody is who they seems.... :)
Saitoman: I believe that in America there is speculative frenzy in waaaaay overvalued sectors. Cramer has apparently brought back the 'Froth ometer'. Sooner or later it will cause a serious correction in those sectors. When that happens the money will search for safety in BP, Shell, Glaxo probably.
In the run up to 2001 old economy shares were dogs. They only wanted high tech. When NASDAQ crashed they rotated into old economy shares.
Hopefully it will happen soon.
CNBC/Cramer pumping Bitcoin right now.
No idea what the plan is here..
£5.50 at least. Selling at £4.20 would be unwise...
James Parsonage: Some are getting repossessed, not selling. Then the banks sell them off as bargains. Usually slightly vandalised inside by the bankrupt households. I saw that in the early 90s.
Obviously now we have had mass immigration so maybe they won't drop 20%.
Interestingly on CNBC they were talking about someone from the Federal reserve mentioning interest rate rise by mistake on an open microphone could cause a plunge in the stock market.
A lot of sharks out there will have the inside line possibly before it happens. They'll be shorting overheated stocks.
BP is not overheated at all and will probably rise. That's called 'a rotation'.
Just enjoy the ride.
A house price crash doesn't happen in a few days. If you think one will occur you'll have plenty of time. In 1992 it didn't start recovering for a few years. It will probably require a rise in interest to start it. Central banks are terrified of inflation. But its happening all around. They will have to raise maybe. Although seem to be putting of the day of reckoning forever.
Some keep mentioning 'The Great Reset', dunno if that is a thing or not. But the central banks are probably concerned about what to do.
Everything is toppy except BP and Shell imo. In 2008 or about that period oil was over $100 while property was in recession.
I feel this is about to happen again.
Dyor obviously.
Because as soon as you sell it starts going up. As long as you feel confident long term you hold. Only sell if something you didn't know about is revealed. I'm on about underappreciated shares. Not the likes of Tesla.
StevieWonder: The media are 100% hostile to oil companies. They can do nothing to BP when the government has our back. Its wheels within wheels.
The massive amount BP is paying 'The Crown Estate' to stick up a few windmills had me worried. But I analysed it as i do everything and it turns out, the Queen only gets 25%, whilst the government get 75%.
Which means Loons has basically bribed the government. Which mean the government has our backs.
For those that don't trust the government. Its not all being paid up front. Its paid in increments every year.
Its like paying the mob protection money. We'll be safe for some time.
Thanks for the replies. Another great share looking cheap. The FTSE 100 never moves while America has more or less quadrupled during the same time period.
