ULT - Beating depression without using drugs is a fairly significant thing. Its the kind of thing that inspires newspaper articles about depression and stress in the UK and ways to beat it, or C4 documentaries on modern life and society etc and alternative healing techniques etc etc. It would be "NICE" for some press coverage or even the odd TV spot, and it would be even better if the states and European countries took BtB on as well. This share could have some long legs on it................
DES - I am not sure they would use those rigs listed in the web link. The problem is not the lack of rigs as such but the lack of suitable rigs. They want a rig that conforms to North Sea and Norwegian safety standards. Most of the rigs off of South America dont meet the strict North Sea rules. I did hear that there were some North Sea capable rigs off of Brazil that could be free soon???? Not sure what effect rig news will have on the sp though - probably quick intraday rise but then sharp fall as everybody gets over the excitement and jumps ship when they realise it will be another year before they drill. This one is gonna be a long one. Probably better off putting money in EME? FOGL not drilling till 2007/2008 either.
CFds - Ok cheers for that cynic. I dont mind a bit of risk as I feel its good for the soul (I quite like my extreme sports I do), so will be giving CFDs a try, assuming my broker accepts me, but will be taking it bloody easy though.........
PRTY - Exactly the reasons for my earlier footprints. Would be more than happy to get out and spend my money somewhere else, but have been waiting for tomorrow. Competition is tough as well with companies like 888 and GMC doing pretty well. What is your reason for backing BLR. I prefer playing with oils......
CFDs - I have been tempted for a while now, but to be honest they make me nervous. As far as I understand it you have to predict the direction of the stock movement, but I have not been able to find out what time frame this is done over. Are you required to stick to the brokers nominated time frames or can you specify your own parameters? I have started the application process for CFD, but the introductory PDF's did not give detailed info. I understand the gearing protocal, but predicting stock movement is bloody hard, especially when the risk is so high. For example look what happened with ZOO! Are you CFD-ing ULT? Makes sense if ULT's BtB goes national. Could web sites like British Bulls be useful in CFD useage??
PRTY - ok, well im in with prty so was just checking...........
Cynic, you have mentioned a few times now trading using CFDs, and going back to your metals footprint yesterday you mention CFD's. Whats the safest way to trade using the CFD method, or at least the safest sector to dabble in. I suppose with CFD's you need predictability and reliability in a stock, otherwise you will end up a very poor person?? Is this a correct observation? What would be your advice for CFD trading? If anyone else has comments, they would also be appreciated. Cheers....
PRTY - on average per hour today there have been 2/3 as many sells as buys, with I believe 10million pounds sold in the last hour. Surely that cant be normal before expected "good news"????
PRTY - if news is expected to be soooo good tomorrow, why have shed loads of people been jumping ship over the last couple of days? That 15:54 trade is worth nearly 3m pounds!!! Whats going on???
ORM - some positive news..... DUBLIN & LONDON: 26 January 2006 - Ormonde Mining plc ('Ormonde' or 'the Company') reports positive exploration results obtained from the Salamanca Gold Project in western Spain, where it is earning a 90 per cent interest. The results confirm Salamanca as a highly prospective, multi-target gold play. Ormonde plans to advance the project through further exploration including drilling. HIGHLIGHTS • Results from a soil sampling survey highlight a large and coherent zone of gold anomalism, measuring 1.5 kilometres in length and up to 200 metres wide, possibly representing a new bulk tonnage target in the area. • Rock samples taken across the survey area from both newly recognised zones and known tungsten-gold occurrences, have returned a number of high-grade gold results including 51.4, 36.6 and 27.3 grams per tonne gold ('g/t Au'). • Prospecting work has highlighted several additional areas of interest, with one in particular returning sample grades including 56.2, 51.5, 29.9, 23.1 and 21.3 g/t Au over a wide area, suggesting that gold mineralization may be significantly more extensive than indicated by work of previous operators.
CER - cheers for that cynic, I have been watching CER for a while now, but not sure what to do. I am also dead impressed with KAZ and ANTO, and will most likely go with them. ANTO is up today by the way on good news.....
Yes, I seem to come across small snippets and paragraphs here and there on uranium on a daily basis now. Nothing ever in great detail, but uranium discussion is becoming much more frequent, especially with Chinas growth, and even places like Nigeria could soon follow Chinas footsteps. And the recent discussions on whether to go nuclear or not, and move away from fossil fuels have also grabbed my attention. Interactive Investor had this small snippet to say. "Basically, it looks like the uranium industry is going to turn into a bit of a cash cow over the next decade and now is a good time for a long-term investor to get in on the act. BHP Billiton snapped up Australian group WMC Resources last year. Why? Well, because of its Olympic Dam uranium resource, of course. It's the world's largest single uranium resource - and they wanted it."
Morning cynic - you seem to be pretty much into metals, what do you make of uranium? And do you know how to get into it? Cheers......
Hi - ok send it to muyoda@hotmail.co.uk........
I find a great web site for news is http://www.companyannouncements.net/ - maybe peeps know of it already???, but it can be searched by sector, index or even top twenty news releases of the day. And as for the web site and watch list - it is accepting your new additions, but they vanish out of view of off the bottom of the watchlist window, so for example if you delete one of your companies the list moves up. I have contacted the site about this but they never replied. In the end I just signed up with another user name, and so have two watch lists.
Its a shame that relations have degenerated to the state they have, because when good banter was flying around on this site regarding company information and sp change etc, its was very good banter clearly posted by people that are bloody good at what they do. What a shame......
GME - Global Marine Energy plc, ('GME'), the oilfield services business, announces that its US-based subsidiary, Patriot Mechanical Handling Inc, ('PMH') has received an order valued at US$3.2 million from China Oilfield Services Ltd. (COSL). The order is for 5 Marine Deck Cranes; four PC4500 50 ton units, and a PC3000 40 ton unit, spare parts, training and commissioning of the equipment. Training will occur at the PMH facilities in Houston, with the cranes being delivered to Xingang Seaport, China, upon completion. Delivery is scheduled for Q3 2006.
ELP - with the announcement of their announcement next week regarding spudding the well, it will be of no surprise to anybody when they make this announcement, thus the sp probably wont move that much. The recent hike in price is basically 'a little bit previous' as Del boy might say, in anticipation of all of the announcements. 6 weeks is a long time to wait for drilling to complete - take a look at VOG, its gone nowhere recently, and its only been two weeks since their last positive rns. Its probably best to grab your profits now, and buy back in again (if you wish) in three weeks time during the immanent trough. Also GME is on the move, anybody have a reason????
BRTR - whats the significance of the plateau/slow drop in current price on the intra day graph even though buys have been running through all day? Will the price likely rise again, tomorrow once its had a chance to adjust it self? Anyone......
You've never met a violent Christian? I take it you've never been to the states then???
