Why do it?
-Got a lot of publicity for a start.....
-Some investors want to feel good about what they invest in, it's not all about money. Same reason many products have environment friendly branding on it. eg 100% recycled etc.
-It is also a "unique selling point" to some extent.
-It is a great idea and sets us apart as leaders.

Is my understanding correct - there are currently 18,645, 812 mined and with a maximum of 21,000,000 available. So less than 2 and half million left to mine. That is not many at all between all the miners. This can only shoot the value of BTC up exponentially.

Bitcoins are seen as a secure and safe way to hold value. Supply and Demand. Bitcoins have a finite supply - Governments and continue to print as much money as they want endless supply.

Kalg - do you know that the whole economy is run by virtual money - banks lend money they don't have, governments print money from thin air when they need it. Not sure what century you live in but this is the reality now. Mining is an actual process involving hardware and software - it is not imaginary. The gold standard ended decades ago.... and no one barters anymore either.

NASDAQ announcement should be made with we are on an upward moment so it would push the SP up even further. Announcing it tomorrow with not have such a big impact.

Yeah, WTF is going on - ARBKF is both at $2.79 and $3.175 after hours trade on Stockwits. It is the only one up - All the rest are down (red). Some posters are saying we are now on NASDAQ and some are saying this is a glitch. Anyone know what is going on? This is too crazy to figure out.

wait for the new ISA, save 20% CGT. This will be a massive saving once we start hitting the £15-£20 SP

Also there are massive fees for trading on the OTC market. Nasdaq is clearly cheaper and we are exposed to many more "tech savy" investors.
