Uk Floods were only a tiny blip in Greggs business, results were great, potential huge still, I couldn’t even guess the timescale of market recovery. North of England stores are still ram packed can’t speak for southern city stores.

What a shock that was, looks like I’m with man more than my usual few days.

Hi, see you still here, I’m back in again, sold most my stock last week ( at a loss) but managed to get in them again at hopefully the bottom.
Back in the old man this afternoon , I’ll be out again at 151, hopefully next week. Good luck , this should rise soon, as market sentiment in general changes

Sympathies go out to those flooded and others affected during recent weather, we need to get used to this as it’s here for good I fear.

Long term holders will have a longer wait, but short term holders take profits where they are there.
Would expect a dip to around 154 then up again to 170 area. I’ve already set my buy alert.

I know it’s not as easy as past history always being repeated , but it is at least one indicator, but we know that in the past £1 spikes appear after the bod reveal great results as well as the new inspired ventures in between reports, like the frozen ranges, the supermarket availability etc.
I’ve said this before but £25 is easily doable by ex div date and who knows. ?!?

Hi volcano, I be been on holiday for a short while, nice to see you’ve been doing well with the man.
I’ve been setting automatic 4/5p buy and sells since before Christmas and like you have been doing very well. The nice thing about this is if the price stays in the lower end of my buys for longer than I hoped, I don’t panic, further commit buy more and average down , which always makes me uncomfortable average down ( look at tcg or tullow oil now) , I just let them ride, content in the fact that the divi here will be great, it’s only about 6/7 weeks. Plenty of time to 157.5 again a few times.

I’m a relative newcomer in tullow, at 62p, but am perplexed , although I’d love it, there is actually no evidence or indication of any possible bid, or even possible bid being lined up. I do agree that the lower it gets the potential of a buyer getting the company cheaper is more probable but not that any buyer is even looking.
I’m sure the big boys would be nibbling away at these if they thought that even vaguely probable

With 50p swings almost everyday, this is almost a trading share, as well as the ability to be like gaw and go on and on and on.

Unless ALL the recent years news is priced in I don’t see any positive news that could come and make a forward for companies with gambling as a major part of their business.
Bookmakers are now almost empty and revenue has dropped considerably since the spin limits were enforced( thankfully for the poor souls that were hooked and throwing HUNDREDS of pounds an hour into them. We need new strategies to stop the rot, then reverse revenue streams.

I’m still in, pretty sure this has legs until brexit date, then spin a coin.
I’ve optimism that this will be 159 end on week. The markets have made solid gains this year and I’m sure trading algorithms will not have been caught out by the rises.

Those are very wise words. If they direction of pricing were in the direction of our hopes we’d all become very rich, whereas more private investor , well how can I say, don’t. I very rarely get it right in the short term. This could be a lock it away and come back in 6 months share, unless you are all in, and if then I’m not sure what I’d do.

I’m not sure how the rise back to around £24 area is necessarily an overpriced value.
With the bod never failing to surprise us investors, the public, market makers and the press’s free advertising for the company, I’m hopeful this is a consolidation before a push to the next level. All we need is a release to tell us that the vegan steak bake oversold expectations and this will be £25.
Although the boards readers will see I forecast that today but hey what do I know.

Pausing for breath I think ( and hope) keeps bouncing back off that 2450 ish point.
Production still full out at the 2 sites I know of and apart from Cornwall ( what’s all that about) nearly all the Greggs shops I see are more than ticking over during the day and ram packed between 1045 and 1400. My only reservation is when growth slows down, as it inevitably will, how that will impact the share price. I love the touch of giving staff a small reward , plus I know many have the confidence to invest themselves. Good luck , roll on £25 by Thursday , a slight retrace then up to the golden £30

I’ll probably sell just 1/3 WHEN £25 is reached very shortly as I’ve had a great ride being in and out from £18 having set automatic sells which have all been met. Staff I know on the production side are all very confident of £30 being there taken in the medium term, this from when £15 earlier in the year.
I know they say you should never sell a good stock but having probably been slightly over invested in this a big profit ( for me anyway) seems prudent to bank. But I’m very confident this has lots of legs yet.

It is always a concern when results are due, but don’t forget a couple of months back when price rose at opening bell when newsthat trade had increased yet again although not quite as much as expected, to then plunge only to rise again after a mini announcement that trading update was in fact better than was stated earlier.
I sold a 1/3 of my holding today, keeping the rest to sell next week at around the £25 mark.
I can understand the selling at the end of the day but knowing staff at 2 of the factories both assure me that production increases almost day on day.
Of course the vegan steak bake in Veganuary, !

A great year for all Greggs shareholders this year, long medium and even short term holders.
I’m not surprised the slight sell off today, but you wait, the figures on 8th January will kick start the rise to £25.

I’m out today at 152 and straight into wpp, I think this has more mileage in the short term
I love good dividend paying shares and a double bonus when no stamp duty payable on purchases.
I’d be very surprised if this doesn’t hit the 155 before Christmas week.

I’ve been in an out of emg for years, some lth then had bought in around £6 I think and it was was down to lower than this I think.
I’ve been in and out of Greggs a few times, averaging down but each time getting more committed. I could have sold about 2140p and had another nice holiday on the profits only to see the markets all down. I think emg will actually be around 155 by pre Christmas week, always assuming there isn’t another shock election result. But 3 or 4% in a couple of days is good enough for me. GL and take those divis and who knows a takeover bid will take this to £2 for sure.
