@Nappers – It’s not a suggestion it was a question. I agree with you that the SDR is of upmost importance to all of us, invested or not. But will it be at the top of Keir's list of things to do before he's gone... I don't see Starmer going quietly.

So with Andy Burnham winning Makerfield, and most likely a leadership contest coming shortly.

Over the weekend there was a very interesting interview on LBC. Forgive me but the chaps name escapes me, but in essence he was suggesting that spending on defence is a difficult sell to the British public. The other thing he mentioned was the the MOD are notorious at wasting funding and suggested the PM is more interested in reducing misspending than actually finding more money to invest. The message was spend what you have better.
