"in order to support the Beckman Biomek system's transition into clinical use and exploit commercial opportunities, the product needs to be commercially available in the United States to end users."
I tend think of 'exploiting commercial opportunities' to mean that there are sales associated with it, and 'commercially available' means product in exchange for some monetary value.
dots says over 50% of people will have to wait until 2022 for vaccination, if people only have 3-6 months protection surely it means by that time 50% who were vaccinated will not then be protected, and so the cycle repeats. Thats without considering new variants which we've been banging on about for months on this BB! Testing here for years and years and years!
Agree, market cap now clearly out of kilter with the commercial position, not much of the COVID angle is priced in here so should see significant rise in market cap over the coming months. Wouldn't rule out a Beckman trade sale in the new year.
Haha, yeah, no. It's not a black and white decision and DB would have waited until he was sure of approval and to build up stock. Beckman also only just rolling out to a wider market. They will hit the ground running now.

Clear that this is an important partnership between GDR and Beckman, should see some positive new flow around availability from Beckman too
It had been higher in terms of burn rate as they built up stocks of raw reagents for production. It had been £750k per month but was reduced to £400k per month once those stock securities were established. I suspect the Ukraine stock is finished, and we will hear about the supply in due course.... 1.2m tests at £10 is low double digit. Seems to stack up. The order is contingent on funding to Ukraine which is probably where the delay is.... These things generally take longer to put into place and are not instant transactions due to the terms
Once those RNSs come this will move back up as the value of the sales become apparent. It needs a Beckman partner in the US, is needs FDA to fly. Im not sure what's holding up the Ukraine deployment. That alone could be a significant chunk of a £1 share price.
I tend to agree, if everything aligns as it should them a £100m+ market cap is obtainable, I suspect an acquisition before that contingent on those FDA approvals!
The delay has been because the FDA wanted to approve the test for saliva and nasal swab samples as one application, initially the submission had been for swab only. Frustrating but ultimately better for GDR. Can't be long to go now.
Interestingly the Ukraine is highlighted as a country that won't ba able to vaccinate more the 10% of its population, relying instead on testing. I suspect a large part of this discussion is around pricing.
India. I suspect now waiting for FDA and WHO...
