The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I don't know what's worse the share price response to ANY form if news or the depressing pack of c**ts on this board.
I'm still in profit here and still believe bigger profits will come but never getting involved in a close to 100% PI owned company again.
Could write a thesis about the antics on here. More profit than anything were making right now ;)
It's good that they are there Freddie but bear in mind that step 7 is the lengthiest and also that the notified bodies are currently more swamped than ever before as they are conducting reviews of on market products attempting to become IVD regulation compliant.
The derampers here are more relentless than the borg.
And even less fun
To be honest I've kind of given up on the clinical utility of antibody testing. I was enthused at first but the more I think about it the more questions I have about whether it can provide a solid answer
What is the cutoff concentration that reliably provides protection? Is this level the same across age/gender/ethnicity? How variable is the testing process? How quantitative is the very subjective method that ABDX have of quantitation? Can we agree guidelines on this across borders?
Feels like a regulatory nightmare to me.
Cebo that is exactly my point it states in the UK and Europe but it doesn't list the individual countries where it applies. I've played this game before the contract could indeed state the whole continent or It could state UK and Spain. Time will tell.
RE exclusivity it was not stated WHERE the exclusivity applies. As far as we know the contract could state UK and Spain only. Considering DAM can now only use Omega manufactured LFD this is a good result
So many partial perspectives on here. A few yesterday said that this new regulation does not affect omega. What was meant by this is the fact that we have sold tests to a distributor who can
A) currently sell the test as normal within the EU
B) be a further party to add weight to the application to seel within the UK.
Either way the tests are sold to a third party and this is useful as you have the weight of an entire commercial machine with a lot of experience in all if these processes on your side and having your product in the market with 1 makes discussions with further suppliers all the easier.
The avacta fan boys are here today as they are concerned we have a deal signed before them. Its actually not surprising because if I worked for a distributor/ healthcare body the first thing I would want to see wpuldnbe validation data by third parties. Mologic have FIND a highly reputable independent party globally. Avacta don't even name their validation partner (highly suspicious)
As for the rest focusing heavy on 20 percent of the information i think we know their agenda here.
Good luck with that flimsy external validation data
Nope, not rocket science but also misunderstood as it doesn't apply to ODX in this instance.
Ps the gov and DHSC have got no idea for they are fcking doing either.
It does feel like todays drops are sentiment driven. ODX being particularly vulnerable due to its lack of IIs (at least over 3 percent holdings)
Well that and a PI base that still fundamentally misunderstands how this market operates
Don't forget UKCA regulator ! It's going to be a fun few years for the IVD industry
And by fun I mean like putting needles into your eyes.
I dont think swags a deramper personally as you do see positive posts from the account. Maybe the board has had so much eeyore spaff that anyone with a bearish view starts to look like an enemy
CaptainSwag getting the first deal over the line is key. This cam be an inflection point now. A clever marketeer would be engaging this distributor with a discount to see if they will now run a prospective study against a reference method to further enhance clinical data that can be marketed.
Using distributors is not an uncommon way of generating sales for smaller companies who can't emply large sales teams across multiple territories. Especially as the distributor also take on the tasks for customer support. Its usually the job of a smaller sales team to manage distributors and keep them in line.
Computer the territories were nor defined but it did say UK and Europe. Vague but given they are only present in UK and Spain currently it could mean just those territories
Seems DAM have sites in the UK and Spain so a reasonable exclusivity grant without giving away all of Europe. Could be why Colin hinted many more deals to come, not putting the eggs all in one basket.
Having said that DAM have enough sites to be considered well established and interestingly the major British tourism spots in Spain are covered.
