Yes, rjwk, I think that's exactly why they shared this information packed RNS to confirm the terms of the acquisition.. It's all a ploy to cover a one week delay in publishing the accounts, that aren't actually due until next month anyway.
I absolutely think you're right.
I'm surprised you lasted this long Tecbadger. I gave up weeks ago. It's just repeated noise here now.
All the best.

Looks like a wider market down day.
Regulator, are you still in SYME too?
"any LFT experts around? how easy to switch the prod line from Mologic to AVCT ?
cannot imagine the gov is willing to wait 8-11 weeks for tech transfer."
Once TT is completed, Colin has mentioned before that, switching between production of LFTs is a relatively easy/quick task to undertake.
With regards to TT of Avacta, I think the contractual terms fine. What we don't know is whether or not AVCT has been selected, and been in discussion with GAD/ODX already, to the extent they could already have been starting, in parallel to AVCT CE marking, TT activities. Omega did the same with the Mologic test, starting TT activities before the test was CE marked by Mologic.
We also know that Adrian, who works for Omega, back in time posted on his Link-In profile that he was working on developing the AVCT LFT.
I really do think there's lots more going on in the background than we are aware of.
If it's Mologic, GREAT! we're already making them
If it's AVCT, GREAT! I think Colin and team are all ready to quickly bring that online.
Good to hear
*thumbs up*
@tecbadger - understandable frustrations. The Tesla reference last night, I think, took it a little too far perhaps. but I think the sentiment behind why the tweets went out were meant with the best of intentions, to try and calm over zealous speculation.
Nothing has changed since Friday morning.
Re-confirmaiton of the UK Gov contract, with a few bits on useful info, 12 month contract, option to extend, can't use the loan kit without prior approval. I think the 18% margin element needs more information.
I can't, personally, see that the potential for Omega has changed in any way.
LFTs are still being talked about everywhere in the news.
News pending on CD4 and FI sales.
As you say, you've provided a lot of useful input over the months, and it would be a loss to the board if you left.
I'm sure you will make the right decision for you.
Hopefully an RNS on Monday to try and clear up a few of the speculations bouncing around.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
From our 2m per week planned capacity.
From, a portion of, not all, is how I read it.
Omega have confirmed on a number of occasions that there is capacity for UK Gov, as well as their own tests, ABC-19, Visitect AG, CD4 etc..
Kahuna, I was just about to write something similar.. but now no need, as you have perfectly articulated the point.
Happy weekend everyone.
See you on Monday.
"It seems to suggest some info has been redacted. Does that mean its being hidden from public view until ODX issue an RNS?"
Generally the contracts published will have the following redacted;
Personal information
Quantities
Commercial arrangements
We will need to wait for Colin and the team to confirm the orders, and even then we may not get all the financial information and will need to wait fora trading updates to ascertain that.
I think worst case, we're looking at 100m tests per week over 2 years @£374m.
= £3.74 per test based on 50m per year ( to give the Alva folk a couple weeks off).
There is however still some valid debate on how many ODX will be asked to supply, based on statements from the Gov that they contracted GAD AND ODX to supply UP TO 200m tests.
The GAD award was £1.15bn, vs ODX £374m.. so you could read into that as ~150m GAD, 50m ODX.. bring the test price to £7.48 per test, but that in itself seems a price too far for the Gov to spend.. so there's still some gaps in info to be shared.
Time will tell...Happy to wait.
Hats off to whoever it was that stated, this morning, that the Gov like to publish on Fridays.
Interesting that the contract was signed 21/02/21.
It confirmed that loaned kit can only used for this DHSC contract, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
It's a great list... Can you put the list in alphabetical order please?
Took me a while to find the one I was going to use... thankfully you had it listed so I didn't have to mention it.
:-)
I had a scare when I googled 'Toyota Innova" and received results.
Thankfully just one of the models of car they have produced.
Happy Friday everyone.
"When the orders do come there will be no super-profits and due to the success of mass vaccinations little longevity."
Lol just saying something doesn't make it true.
(I read that somewhere)
It may be confirmation bias on my part, but it really feels to me that they're lining up for Mologic being the (first) DHSC selected test.
Last nights tweet;
"Could there be interesting times ahead for the manufacturers of gold-standard ultra-rapid Lateral Flow Tests"
Todays tweet;
"The VISITECT COVID-19 Antigen test provides healthcare professionals with an accurate rapid test for the detection of the SARS-CoV-2 nucleoprotein in respiratory swabs *in just 10 minutes*.
I'd say 10 minutes is pretty ultra- rapid (in LFT terms), and with best in class performance.
And since when have Omega (Colin), been ELATED?
"We're elated that @Mologic's #COVID19 lateral flow antigen test has been independently verified in a 665-person study by @FINDdx, a global not-for-profit foundation."
It's been said a number of times, but Omega have positioned themselves extremely well through this, partnering with Mologic, a world market leader with an exceptional history and reputation. LSTM, FINDdx (associated with WHO) backed data. Ultra-rapid results. But where are the orders? Why they not telling us? ... Patience folks. Big things are coming.
I'm sure the Avacta test will be selected at some point too (hopefully that will go some way to mitigating a barrage of responses).
GLA, DYOR
I sometimes wish Twatcher would head over to their board, just for giggles, and provide 'insight' for them.
And then the nice side of me kicks in and wouldn't wish that on anyone.
...and besides, Twatcher probably already has another account to post on that board.
A good RNS to hopefully relax those that felt the need for one.
Omega now have CE marked, and commercialised, all their Covid tests.
UK-RTC ABC-19 AB test - Being stock piled
Visitect Triple AB test
Visitect Antigen test
ELISA AB, Lab service, test
News on the DHSC test could land next week, once the local elections conclude.
Have a good weekend all.
BigMac, I've joined a couple of webinars (investor presentations) on this platform before.
I just took a look and I can replay those.
I think if you register then you should be able to access it after.
The companies themselves normally post to it too, after the event.
Gregg, that 200k is for the ABC-19 (antibody) production.
With the government loan kit, it's expected, though not been confirmed, that will provide capacity to produce 1m per week Antigen tests for the DHSC.
It's not clear what the arrangements are with the Gov with regards to utilising the loan kit, if not maxed out with meeting DHSC demand.
Agreed though, the more we can produce/sell outside of any UK Gov framework the more profitable it will be for ODX.
That said, you can cut the numbers by production/sales expectations any way you like. Even being conservative with P/E ratios and using examples of full UK Gov commitment (less revenue/profit) you still end up with significant revenue figures for the years ahead.
It's coming.
I'm holding, and pleased to be.
