TBF you can effectively use geophysics to explore effectively under cover, however you also need an open mind. Certain folk cautioned that such really high readings could be due to graphite and were ridiculed on this board. Turned out to be correct.

Problem as ever is hype and lack of managerial nouse. Groupthink. Geophysical contractors are paid to sell stories, geophysicists often optimistic. The writing was always on the wall when they refused to do a full post mortem on the first KSZ holes and never properly released results. Graphite /carbonaceous matter in those? Still have no clue.

Pinning all hope on drilling deep holes on marginal targets will always be high risk. Still I see absolutely no reason to ever invest in KAV again.

If the "literally making stuff up" is reference to my eariler post, sharing my genuine opinion based on knowledge, about the involvment of Chinese in Zims Au projects, and my refusal to reveal detail and sources etc., then please retract.

Because I have a 4-decades long association with the country and many of the Au mining projects, plus lots of Zimbo pals who are able to speak when asked, doesn't mean I need to spill all my beans on a message board seemingly stuffed with rampers who appear to celebrate the classic pump and dump we just witnessed...

Of course you could have been speaking about someone else, in which case fair enough.

GLTAH, will keep an eye out for some proper detail on the project and what KAV expect it to bring their shareholders of benefit, till then, nichts of interest. Hopefully not even more dusters being drilled down in the KSZ like lasty time, and Dave C on the money with KCB...

IME the Tati project was always marginal, and unlikely to materialise into anything significant. Anyone with a modicum of knowledge of Tati gold exploration over the last 40 years would have known the POW projects were hype. Bots is open, and you can easily see through the guff of promoters. Anyone suggesting shipping tails over the border being even a remote possibility should probably seek professional help.

Zims is more complex. Guff can be hidden better. However, given it's recent history, one really needs to ask what can KAV bring that the Chinese have not already done? Anyone with a modicum of African experience will know the answer is along the lines of "SFA". If the Chinese could not make this project work, what is the chance that the geniuses running KAV can do so?

Having just spotted that pump and dump, I'd still be very wary of ever investing in KAV again.

But DYOR, AIMHO, and I could be wrong, but regardless GLTAH!

TBF Molopo has been a bad deal for two UK listed juniors seemingly run by a couple of mutual pocket p*ssers with nae idea how to find a mine... Though I suspect if they had a walk over the ridge at Kipushi they may find one... The only folks who did well out of this are the obvious, plus Roger Key who'd seem them coming. KAV and POW shareholders lost out, simples.

Molopo is a tough one, and has been the graveyard for many millions of exploration $s from majors for over 3 decades. Nowt really found. No easy UG2 or MR. No big slab of MS just waiting for a UK junior with no real expertise to find. Same as B1 and the other dreams being hyped now. Cheerleaders gotta cheerlead, downies gotta down.

IMHO KAV is just not that attractive, though I confess if I'd been daft enough to buy in week last Friday and sell Friday just gone, I'd have actually made money on KAV, something that's not often said. However, that's not my game.

But GLTAH all the same. Zims and China eh? May you live in exciting times.

Most commentators would concede that actually, that means they haven't found 'owt. Not a saussage. Haven't made a discovery (other than their interpretation of geofizz is pants and "they don't know what they're doing")

I hope, for the sake of all true believers in this stock, that this doesn't turn out the same result as historical KAV drilling, i.e.: total waste of money; drilling of dodgy over-egged geofizz targets; tired excuses as to why the main target (that may not actually exist) was missed; more geofizz work promised to keep all the well-paid consultants busy; no assays released almost 2 years later; more waffle from ineffectual management.

But suspect I will be right. Still see no reason whatsover to re-invest into KAV and remain convinced my liquidation of the stock I held was the right thing to do.

The Zim venture, ??to chase an operation even the Chinese bailed out of?? could end up being about as successful as POW's Tati scrapings.

Someone asked "what does a scam look like?" . Well...

Could be wrong, and like I said for those that hype the stock, I hope I am.

Knowing the project well, I can't personally see MFC being "sold on" at all. It's worth next to nothing, has been nothing but a black hole for majors and juniors alike. Roger K may have done well off it but POW (and KAV before) shareholders have been fed a pup. Folk interested can just wait them out, why rush when it's clearly not going to get much attention, the main modelled anomalies were dusters and there's no momentum?

Same as KAV's hyping the KSZ project, geophysics is always equivocal, but some is more equivacal than others.

The problem as I see it for POW is that they've also not got the best ground they could have had in the Tati Schist belt, and what they have got there is pants...

As a result I'd personally not invest in it even at these lows.

Their view could be right. Such is science and exploration.

However, my view (I'm just some fellah who knows MFC and Tati etc. well and can spot a wrong 'un at 100 metres) could also be right. It is this:

So, I did bookmark it. And absolutely nothing in the last RNS makes me change my mind that I would not invest in POW even at a tenth of the price...

GLTAH, it's needed.

Sadly all the RNS basically said was:

"We drilled our best targets (but geophysical models are models and hence wrong).
We spent a fortune drilling 2,400m, deeper holes than would be advisable for a junior.
Luckily the assays were totally pants.
We are desperate to JV out this POS project we paid too much for in a fit of hype.
However, what major would be bonkers enough to bail us out now we've p*ssed our funds against the wall for nothing."

My take would be never fully trust a junior not run by a competent geologist or with an exec who is able to keep the beancounters and hypers in check.

To be fair JP2000, conductance values are just that - black box, modelled hypothetical numbers needing confirmation by drilling. Lots of carbon about, lots of basics and other intrusives cooking that up. Graphite much stronger signatures than most intetesting basic/u-basics have. Have KAV's geophysical "experts" nothing to say on that front?

Till there's drilling through it, it's just hype, er hypothesis. Easy to drill dusters, v. deep and expensive.

KAV still haven't released the assay data from the pictures of KSZ drilling they hyped almost two years ago!!!! Reprehensible.

If it's desperation or fake news we're interested in investigating, then they have form.

Shouldn't be any issues getting hold of drill rig in Bots, there are many worse places. Foot dragging more likely.

Dittau is also likely to be more of the same; BT's "pants" projects., hyped. Does anyone really believe a diamond explorer would not analyse cores in case there were other things there? OK, I believe Jan Mostert became Jan Missedit because it worked the other way round, but pyritic BIFs would be routinely looked at. And most anyone nowadays should know within a day what the likelyhood of mineralisation is.

Fact is, pXRF analysis is instant. One of my companies drilled then analysed a hole within 2 days of completion. Rush job on lab assays and hey presto, disclosable results....

Like I said, I got out of KAV with a loss, and there's no intention on my part to climb back in until management changes and discovers intgrity and how to run exploration projects, rather than p*ss funds down the drain.

As ever IMHO, DYOR and GLTAH...

Not only that RE10, but what is not mentioned is that all the upside of Pickle Lake seems to have been given away by FCM to Palladium One for next to nothing.

The rest is early stage "moose pasture", and hence the upside needs a lot more investment before even having a chance of taking off... Big boys can wait it out.

There are few majors looking at projects in Cameroon. Even fewer Au mines there.

I am curious as to why ORR, trading at less than a tenth of its SP 2 years ago, with very limited funds available and still a large burn rate, would be at all attractive for rapacious companies that would probably much rather wait and see how it pans out and assess whether the pieces are worth picking up after the inevitable?

JP2000, personally no. Not bothered. But RNS rather than ****ter to inform shareholders, and my earlier point was I'm usually averse to investing in companies with a "cast of thousands" board, consultants and advisors when it's tough to raise exploration dollars for tired stories. MD, 2 or 3 NEDs would do, smacks of desperation when a junior with an unsuccesful track record changes tack time and time again and laughs about it in the Landie...
