It’s usually the spread at the start (buys and sells 3-4% apart) then gets closer. Today though I would guess the BBC news of global gas boilers to be abolished by 2025 has started green energy sector off well then a bit of a sell off this morning (although very minor) just lowered the price again. Tiny bits and sells though so will probably change again through the day
I am sure they must have some idea already what order the orders will come in. They are pretty close to their partners so would think they have an idea what they will start production on first
The only reason I can see that people would be negative at the moment is if they are needing to sell soon. We are two weeks away from having a production line ready. Why would we advertise orders before we have a working production line? People will place an order when the order can be made, just in case their are delays etc they will wait. If we are 6 months into having a production line and still no orders then yes that’s concerning but until then we are about to start production on whatever the first orders may be. I can’t think it will be long before the first order is placed but it will be once it’s up and running.
Think of it in a more simple terms, you are going to open up a shop that makes tshirts, you haven’t got any equipment up and running yet, you are recruiting staff for when you do,m. Why would someone buy a tshirt off you now? They will wait until you can actually make it.
Big things are coming, just be patient
This article is 3 years old?!
It’s fantastic news, I can’t see why this hasn’t come through an RNS though but made it into an article. It’s pretty major news for ABB
AFC certainly picked a good time to fundraise. 3 weeks later and they would have to dilute the company a lot more for their £36m
Nick I agree, ultimately regardless of today or tomorrow (or next month’s) share price. At 500m mcap the price was considered a low value to the point they had £36m of order plus people wanting but missing out. That to me tells you whether this company is going places.
Plug are doing well, and confirmed they will be releasing their revised results next week. Another big company that is influencing the sectors price should have positive news next week, which should help the sector overall. Cheap prices and positive news gets the share going up again. Even without new news from AFC I think this may well be close to 70p in the next two weeks
Little bit of the plug power jump would be nice tomorrow to get us going in The right direction again
Ah great thank you
JW I opened an ISA at the beginning of April, the share I bought has gone up 61% already and in my opinion based on sales forecast it’s now overpriced so want to sell that share and invest in AFC whilst it’s in its price dip. Can you sell the current share and buy a new share immediately or is there a delay? Hope that makes more sense
Whilst the price on AFC (and the whole sector is low) I wouldn’t mind adding to my portfolio but only recently took out an ISA in another stock. Can you trade on an HL ISA and if you sell does it release funds straight away to buy a different stock? Just don’t want to sell them go to buy more in AFC and i can’t then re-put into that ISA or have to pray it doesn’t go up for three days if I have to wait? Any advice would be appreciated as never sold in an ISA before
No point in taking big orders until we have the production line to build them. Next month we will be in the hanger ready to start taking those orders
Congrats to anyone who got in yesterday or today. Gutted I am already maxed out on my AFC holding, what an opportunity. Nice to see it’s going back in the right direction
1. Years his wasn’t an AFC issue that lowered the SP it was the market
2. Out of all the companies in our sector we dropped the least
3. We feel that the SP has been held down to allow companies that missed buying in to get in. With the price drop today, anyone that wanted to get in at sub 64p should now of done so.
4. With news tomorrow and the presentation you would expect a market that should bounce back up anyway jump further if good news is delivered on that day.
We are always going to get 10% up’s and down’s in this sector. The company is still the same as yesterday with a bright future.
Yet more buys than sells!? Give it a week or so and we will be back. Long term today is irrelevant, even mid term.
Thank you
What time does the event start Wednesday?
Ath just replace it with a Lamborghini Sian
Completely agree, second day running bits almost double sells. Not huge volumes granted but just a bit fed up of it. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see a large buy that was being held down for the buy in price. At least this time next week we will hopefully have a clearer picture of where we are, regardless of what the SP is doing
