On that. Bamps1 wasn't posting when I first invested in mid 2019. Back then PaddyG was the main/only real Geo savvy poster.

He also has his bad days though in amongst some great ingo.. "Sit on hands" in late 2020 etc. But his Geo info was very well appreciated always.

My only issue with Bamps1 is that NEVER does he get dragged into SP stuff. In 5 years it's always the resource and it's geological value from my reading.

So I did wonder..... Why talk now about SP impact. When his is always a mid to long term technical view.... And weather is so short term??

Strikes me that with the price hear so low. That, and as with BCN. Could get away with a vastly under true value takeout...

Hard to believe this will get done pre Xmas, after that law change issue has ( in two years!), been missed to date (really?).

Sadly though, in what serious world can we expect that "parliament" in basically two weeks now, to do what they haven't managed in two years.... to agree ratification, and commensurate with it make a flipin law change as well... In two weeks!

I think that's again, a fair shout.

However speaking as an investor from several years back. I don't like it.

Point is that this group made a 33p bid - from memory when the SP was what mid 20's ( stand correction).

So let's assume the current price bounces to +50% on Rat. Say 12p. I know that's conservative. But factoring in the Pump n Dump crews in action etc.

So then they offer a similar buy out. That's maybe 18-20p ish.

Great for the smart guys on here that bought at 7p.

But no use to those LTH from way above.

I hold just over 250k at AVG 27.4p.... No use to me, even if Ass will rub their hands ...

Assuming that; eventually this passes the appropriate committees to RAT.

The price action will be interesting. One has to assume being AIM that any action getting sight on the "daily movers" will attract the usual day traders, pretty much inevitable. New accounts will appear pumping away, and any decent rise will be bought into by the 25% ers as is their way.

This is not going to help the LTH's with high averages. But is a pain ato be bourne with the currently decimated SP am afraid, so will then take even longer to appreciate any value. Even if things go well.

So basucally not even Rat, though incredibly needed and over due. Will IMO mean a lot of us getting back quickly to a break even.

I hope I am wrong, but having seen the way the chancers on AIM operate. They will say they have, but in truth wiil have zero interest in a successful longer term build. Beware!

Thank you for the info. On the positive side. Although frankly day to day I don't think half that chamber ever show up to work. You have to assume that if the RAT terms ever gets agreed behind closed doors. Some kind of Whip would be put in to force the vote through. Let's hope that that's not beyond them?

Trying to be sanguine about things. Though it's pretty hard after all this time waiting the tumbleweed blow by after all the positivity a few years back.

Assuming there is something eventually to present to parliament for debate:

a) Does anyone know, what is the size of the Quorum needed in the Ghanaian constitution to formally even pass a vote?

b) Further, what (in relation to the above) is the average daily attendance in the parliament during the last session - as a guide.

Point obviously is, that video evidence often sees the chamber very sparsely populated to say the least. So if we even get a tabled motion. Will there be enough of the work shy actually insitu to actually constitute a legal vote. Or are we relying on what passes over there for some kind of "whip" to drag the bodies in?

Not much good news around ALL in it's base country this year. But I guess comically at least, if this new find proves a good one.... At least they may not have to deal with a lazy government at all there so as to get that "ratification"....

I agree, and remain invested. If I saw no hope - as is clearly the case from some here. I would quietly sell, but certainly not keep coming back to ram the hopelessness down people's throats day after day. Very strange, very immature conduct...

I hold a modest investment here (about 250k) but at a now very raised average (27.4p), that at one time seemed a very reasonable risk.

Clearly 7p and so on. Is very much not a case for any rejoicing. But on the other hand we are adults and have to take responsibility. Get out or see how it plays out is my method...

Either way the rampers or derampers should not make your mind up. That's for one alone to wrest with.

We had a very convivial chat about 6 months ago. At which you were speculating about a 50:50 that Rat would be achieved pre the elections. I was hopefully, but rather more miss trusting of the way the dissolving parliament would act. Sadly that appeared to come to pass...

How would you now assess that %age, with a new party in power, and all that's subsequently transpired in your view?

I read the comments about Q2 etc, and am still hopeful. But have come to realise that the way this country operates, it's pretty hard to put it mildly to pin a government of either side down tbf.

This, like I guess most all AIM shares is a frustrating one for sure, and I wish that the seniors had been a bit more pragmatic and less gung ho at the start of last year. But it is what it is, and we all want to see some material progress and soon I am sure.

Assuming the NDC actually want the jobs and income for the people. Which, even as half ar*ed as the govt/opposition methods seem to date.... Seems good initial publicity for them surely.

I would think it's only logical that they won't directly ratify. Surely they will want to renegotiate to appear to have got a better deal. Then take the credit with the electorate that's just given them power.

I just hope that in the above ALL seniors make it clear that whilst they understand the need for the new guys to be seen to be "different" to the last lot. That our company can't wait for ever.

I noted the management here being highly communicative prior to all the political quagmire of late 2024. Now though they need to really prove they can negotiate hard ball. Gloves off, and in smokey rooms, & not just in publicity events & in front of the cameras flying round the world.

I hope I am wrong and this goes through directly. But I feel there is more SP pain to come sadly ...
