AAOG closed up 2.46 percent on Friday, December 28, 2018, on 1.39 times normal volume. The stock exhibited some range contraction during this trading session as price made an NR7 -- narrowest range of the last seven sessions. The stock crossed above its 200 day moving average, improving its long-term outlook by crossing above that critical trendline. Note that the stock is in overbought territory based on its Slow Stochastic indicator (14, 3, 3) -- sideways movement or a pullback should not be unexpected.

Good reply from DS, and hopefully puts to bed all these placing worries that some are using as a de-ramp.

On the old wells here, there is still pressure, even after many years, so this is a excellent field by the looks of it. LGO switched to LWD (logging while drilling) tool after the first well. This meant they could get the logging data as they drilled and did not have to stop drilling to then withdraw the string and send done a logging tool. Saved the 7 days odd off the drilling time. They were also deviant wells, but in the end had a turnaround of 21 days for a 3,000m hole.

I am sure they will learn a lot of lessons from this well, and get better time line for the second well here. Depending on results on this well, it may be a option to get our own drilling well, if you are suddenly looking at a number of wells in a forward plan.

I am sure James is well aware of the best forward plan after this well is done. But continuous drilling, backed by debt facility is the plan I am sure.

Touched £125m I believe at the peak, as one of the wells came in at 1,000 bopd in initial test (usual was 250-350bopd). But they were like a shaken coke bottle, when they perforated it gushed out, over a timeline of couple of weeks, they went down fast. The GOR was massive, and became a issue in the end.

0.64 to 7.80 and did it in 5 weeks. It was on the back of new wells, similar field to AAOG's, except pressure was not sustainability like we have here.

That will be broken at some point next week in my opinion. This is starting to look like a oiler on the charge here. I was in LGO back a few years ago, and some similarity to its enormous rise back then are here.

Anyway, been a great week and achievement to get this volume and trend on the holiday low volume days.

There will be a few T positions being taken on Monday, as they will shift the weekend timeline out of the position, but will want exposure to the latter end of next week. Should be a very good week coming, in fact good couple of weeks.

What a good finish, closed out at 10.30 mid. To put that in perspective, that is the highest finish since October 22nd. It is also been closing higher every day since December 17th. The trend is firmly upward here.

Closed out the week at the high close, so techs again will be reset for next week.

More fool them, Monday is only half a day and a lot of positions will be taken Monday to get in for any news when markets re-open. These days it can be hard to stand outside looking in, if the right news drops.

It is probably investors who are new to oil and gas. Unless your drill bit has a LWD tool (logging while drilling), which is expensive, but may be included in the next drill. Then they will pull the wire out and log the zones as they go. They have done this now to include almost 7 zones in one go, which is a excellent result.

Wire line logging is of the utmost importance, not only do we have to check three zones in the R's,and one 50m lump in the Mengo, but we now have a further new zones to check above the Mengo. The company already know its oil and gas down there, make no mistake of that. This is to confirm porosity and pressure as well as other data.

Let them take their time, the importance outweighs a day or two more imo. If they started today, I expect 7 days to get full data to market. With the holidays taking care of two days, and the two days at weekend also, we are looking at results next Thursday, which is no more then one and half market days away(not including today).

The geo has been spot on all through this part of the well, I do not expect any difference to what they believe to be down there as well.

To note, when the new pad was positioned, it was positioned to hit the djeno at the apex of the horizon. That will also come in IMO.

SHARES in exploration company Anglo African Oil & Gas surged after it struck more oil off the coast of the Republic of the Congo.

A deposit which it drilled into on Christmas Eve has the potential to boost production and earnings, executive chairman David Sefton said.

The result beat the company’s own expectations.

The company, formerly known as Namibian Resources, saw its share price close up 14pc, or 1.25p, at 10.15p.
