PYX Resources: Achieving volume and diversification milestones. Watch the video here.
Same here . I'm now almost breaking even . As a jaded shareholder I was going to sell up but am starting to think that it might be worth hanging on as with a decent discovery and a recovery in the price of oil this could be the next Dragon Oil .
Things look to be heading in the right direction on the operational side . I am very close to break even and was planning on bailing out . Have changed my mind . This looks like it has become a decent long term hold .
... bought a stake in Frontier AIM:FRI . AFAIK AGR energy is a family concern and they look to take large stakes but not to take companies private . They are clearly the market leader in London oil and gas exploration M&A .
Looks like a formality to satisfy article 18 item 1 of the listing rules and with a next day response from the authorities . Article 18. Coming into Effect of Decision on Securities Listing or Category Change (This heading was changed by decision of the Exchange Board of Directors of November 7, 2014). 1. The decision on securities inclusion to the official list becomes effective from not later that next working day after fulfillment of the last of the following conditions (this paragraph was supplemented by the Exchange Board of Directors decision of October 6, 2011): 1) provision of two copies of the listing agreement, documented in compliance with item 3 of article 14, if an admittance initiator is not their issuer, securities of which are present in the official list; 2) payment of the entry and first annual listing fees on these securities to the amount and on terms set by the Rules of defining the amount, terms and procedure of listing fees and other fees payment approved by decision of the Exchange Board of Directors (this sub-item was changed by the Exchange Board of Directors decision of October 6, 2011 and supplemented by the Exchange Board of Directors decision of November 7, 2014).
Have had my fears allayed and will give AGR the benefit of the doubt that they are not trying to take it public . Have just cancelled my sell order . Apologies to Jack Keyes and the team for my emotional reaction .
Sorry guys , this deal is terrible . As for raising at a premium , that is complete *******s . If they had of bought 51% of the company on the market the share price would have climbed above 15p , they have got a controlling stake at a discount . They have given the company away for next to nothing and destroyed all hope of shareholder value . I hope a third party is looking at this and will feel an urgent need to come in with something better .
I'm not so sure . Most people in parliament couldn't change a fuse or a light bulb never mind a flat tyre . Look at the CO2 reductions called for in the Climate Change Act . They are completely unachievable yet Parliament is carrying on as if the Climate Change Act and self imposed CO2 reduction targets are sacrosanct . If you doubt this read these two documents :- - Environmental Audit Committees letter on shale http://www.parliament.uk/documents/commons-committees/environmental-audit/letter-CCC-Fracking-Feb-2015.pdf - Committee on Climate Changes response http://www.theccc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/CCC-letter-to-EAC-on-shale-gas-and-carbon-budgets.pdf Eventually the political machine is going to have to admit they are unachievable . They have already shown the lengths they are prepared to go to by deliberately deindustrialising the U.K. to reduce CO2 emissions . What is are they going to do as the dates for these targets get closer and closer ? I think there is a good chance that energy will be rationed and a lot of people will die . If you doubt this read those two documents and ask yourself whether they were written by sane people living in the real world .
I have never held but saw Charlie Muirhead present . Thought he was switched on and the biggest asset the company had . Was I mistaken ? Why did Muirhead and the company go their separate ways ?
Thinks were looking to be slow in 2015 with efforts being directed to the lower footwall program . Rambler is a quality company and this could become a good recovery play but not for a while . The question with Rambler , as ever , is one of trust . When the recovery comes (and it will) , whether small shareholders will benefit or just directors and large shareholders (by taking it private) ?
I think they will get a farm out starting with Zambia with Tullow or Premier as favourites . Swala Energy on the ASX and a majority owned subsidiary on the Dar Salam stock exchange are in a trading halt . The EARS are getting bitten off .
Rhaegar , I sold my shares for a 33% loss about a month or so ago . As with so many shares on AIM the visibility and transparency is terrible . A pity as there aren't many opportunities to get involved in infrastructure projects and this company could secure follow on projects . Suspect it will be a qualified success but there could always be a sting in the tail . Don't like being kept in the dark .
AlexHK888 , A per diem rate of $20,000 can only be for very small ships . A large container vessel is going to have a per diem rate much higher even though it's engines will only be on tickover :- - Finance costs for ships order and built during the boom time . - Opportunity cost ; a vessel is only making money when it is actually sailing . Opportunity cost will be lower at the moment with small volumes and low freight rates and will become more of an issue if volumes of trade pick up which they might in a decade so Skil's port would just get better with age . One wonders how successfully the lines are able to pass that on to the customers . With improved terminals volume is likely to increase and an efficient terminals should be able to charge a premium for their services . It might all become a bit of a lottery . A ship at sea will be looking to discharge in India and they will be very much hoping they get directed to Skil's terminal rather than one of the slow ones . One assumes the slow turnaround is due to operational reasons rather than bureaucracy .
Brokerdaw , I read the material again and all the projects have something going for them . They seem to have identified some structures in the Owambo basin onshore Namibia but the few previous wells and outcrops have not turned up mature source rock . The soil gas analysis suggests that there are oil prone source rocks , perhaps multiple . Are you aware of whether they coincide with the fetch area of the structures ? What is the next stage 2d or 3d ? Will have another read of Zambia thanks .
Price still some long way off where it was at the beginning of September . If there was a whiff of rumour of real news this would surely be up around 4p .
"Weve seen it can drop 30% on nothing in minutes," And before that we saw it rise 60% on nothing in a matter of a couple of days .
These guys are not founder operators of a private company but hired hands in a publicly listed company , albeit one which is loss making . Hired hands rarely show the same restraint . As directors they have personal liability so they need some kind of reward . What sort of lifestyle should an executive board member of such a company expect ? - to be able to finance a private education for 2 children ? - to be able to live in say Twickenham in a house they can entertain clients in ? - to be able to have their wife stay at home whilst the children are growing up ? - to be able to look forward to a pension which a teacher might get ? - go on a holiday each year ? If so after the taxman had his share that takes £200k/year minimum . It didn't used to 15 years ago but it would now . About 15 years ago I worked for a small software house which was reasonably successful for a while . Most of the cars in the car park were 10 years old . I was disappointed to learn my bosses boss could only afford a dog kennel on a 1960's estate which he could never have taken a client back to . I gave up being aspirational at that point . Perhaps remunerations for an executive director should be comparable to that of a an inner city secondary school head teacher , i.e. same takehome plus sufficient to provide a comparable pension , say £160k total package . What does everyone else think ?
I like TW's site but he has gone over the top on NOP . Yes the management can be criticised for paying themselves a bonus but somehow I don't think they will be doing the same again any time soon . If NOP do have to carry out a placing I wouldn't be surprised if it now has to be at a lower price than would have been the case if TW hadn't launched into a relentless almost vendetta against NOP . KW and the guys at Northern appear to be doing their best to turn this round and I think it is pretty bad form to heap bad press on them . NOP should be credited for trebling their land position out there to 30,000 net acres . I previously did calculations to determine what the critical mass of wells is out in Canada to make things self funding and with the current drop in oil price need to do them again . It's survival now and they need to sell whatever they can to concentrate on Canada , perhaps even a sell a piece of Canada once they have proved it up .
I wonder whether it has occurred to the BOD that shareholders might just have got sick and tired of the Minty's using this company as their own personal ATM ? I exited at 3.25p at a large percentage loss . Still no delivery on any project . I might re-enter if they ever deliver anything on any project but until then I'm out .
I belatedly sold up for 3.25p and a significant loss last week . The only positive point in that when this goes bust Minty's confetti machine and money tree go with it . What a bunch of wrong uns .
