TD Waterhouse held my shares and credited my warrants in a timely manner. I subsequently converted to shares without a problem. What reason have HL given for not being able to hold warrants? Sounds a bit strange for a broker.

Guys I’m a bit of a dunce when it comes to how MM’s operate, but I think they match buyers and sellers and take a margin on the spread and sometimes earn certain commissions. They don’t, for example, buy shares at 40p and then sell them at 50p pocketing 10p a share. Obviously the more liquidity a stock has the better for the MM’s as they make a margin on every transaction but holding onto shares and then raising the SP to make a killing is not what they do (if that’s what your suggesting!?). Anyway, getting board of watching the paint in my office dry. Yawn

It has nothing to do with the SP. We trustees are always cautious these days. It saves us being open to criticism from future beneficiaries and the potential of being sued if things turn sour. Standard practice DS.
