If you hate pylons, National Grid seems like an odd thing for you to invest your money in. There are some offshore connections happening but onshore pylons are the most cost effective, they could hide them but then you’d be paying 10x more on your standard charge so they can’t keep everyone happy

I think you’re right, even though there’s been a drop the SP is more positive than it could have been. I guess that only applies if you have enough capital available to take up all of your options

How did you get to that conclusion? More investment will mean higher asset base, therefore more income in the future

Is this good? I feel more investment will turbocharge this in the long run but I’m unclear on if the rights issue will offset the SP drop if you have the funds to back it, or sell your Options.

They lose a load of cash as they need to buy at market rate. That's a lot of shares to buy on the market so expect they will themselvss push the price even higher causing a double whammy for them. That's a big risk for them but it depends who owns the shares, if Mangrove are good for the money then they might let it ride but at some point they'll worry Mangrove won't be able to close the position and call them

Are mangrove still involved? I can't see this going down too much after the great RNS, these guys will get burnt and should fire us towards or maybe over 50p, it depends how long mangrove hang in there but surely they'll get a margin call if it goes too high

I'll be interested to see how this does next week. With talk of Jeremy Hunt offering bill discounts of up to 10k to people near new over headlines sounds like a bit of a sweetener but if this leads to shortening of the process to install new overhead lines to support net zero it has the real potential to accelerate NGs capital programme by removing some of the NIMBYS and planning process pain , i.e more growth sooner and a higher RAV for bigger returns on investment, sooner

Possibly, I do find there can be some manipulation of this stock but it does look like the manipulators won't be able to halt the charge it's on. If its at 30p and you think it should be more fill your boots, 30p is broken now and is only going one way so pile in, they might be helping mangrove but they're also helping buyers

When will there be an outcome here? We've all been conned and our shares are going to zero but they are still showing in my trading account, are they technically suspended? Anyone got any idea what will happen next

Got screwed on the primary bid placing which now looks like a blessing in disguise, more fool them for not taking my money. I've just bought 500 on today's drop, seems a bit overdone, reasonable update so I don't understand the 20% drop although with the general economy not in a good place, high debt and interest rate rises on the cards I see why there is nervousness, regardless, seems good value at 160 if you can handle a bumpy few months

Crazy, the drop has worried me as a holder but I don't see that much risk now oil has been proven, used this 12% drop to top up

Is this oversold or is this a fair price based on today's RNS? It feels like an overreaction but isn't the worry that there is no oil or there will be further raises required? How much oil do 88e have proven 'in the bank'?

£9.6bn seems like a good price, circa $13bn which seems higher than initially thought/forecast.
