I think they'll comeback with a last minute bid of £58 as that was the figure mooted to lead to discussions hence the price has held well and somewhat stabilised

For £3 extra on top they have to be mulling it over ,it's now or never

Prior to the latest rejection I was estimating £53/share to allow a spread between price and offer ,with the bid being rejected again I suspect it should either hold firm or rise slightly . All depends of course on Pfizers next move ,their CEO's reputation is on the line as he's staked a lot on this,I can see pressure coming from AZN institutional holders on the board to sit down and negotiate as they fear a drop in the share if the deal is scuppered,the £55/share was supposedly "the magic number "

Great news,that was the level analysts were expecting,I don't think the board will take it but they may just sit down with Pfizer to discuss it further. I'm with you on GKP,hoping for a correction on the improving politics
