Anyone got any theories on strong recent performance?

I sold most of mine at a loss over a year ago but bought back in starting around 6 months ago.

A combination of opportunistic and derisking for me.

Yes - still holding Hg and have been adding but slightly concerned about direction of travel of SP!

Someone wants in quite a lot it seems!

Well not quite the £43 I was hoping for at a min.

It’s good but not great imo.

Have sold a few but may sit on majority and wait and see what occurs… not sure.

Unlikely a rival bid will come in but not impossible….

It’s a bit sad as this had real potential imo to be really big for us all. However bird in hand and all that…

If there’s a bid I’m hoping for £43 or north.

Below that I’m personally happy to let this play out longer. Not least of all as I don’t know what invest sale proceeds in!!!

I get the negativity but down easily a third over last month or so. Yes clearly an hiatus in rail but this is a diversified business spread across what is largely non discretionary infrastructure spending.

Agree it’s not going to rocket back but surely this is overdone?

Well the price made little sense to me if the deal is going through. I’d been tempted to gamble by adding for a quick 15% on that tranche but bottled it.

Still think 125 is too cheap but may be happening is my guess.

Hmm - not good clearly and a big set back - but still think this is a very good operation and bought some more at 714p this am.

My best guess is this will be back towards 900 within a few months.

I think the price will have to be north of 150p.

I don’t think there has been any D selling. Price drifted after reaching high. No reason apparent to me other than profit taking/general pull back for smaller shares which had done well.

I bought some more at c650.

I may be getting carried away on the heady heights of today but my gut feeling is that even at 80p this would still look good.

I added all the way down to 70p but lost the bottle to carry on buying as sitting on big loss…. Those who bought at 60, well done.

Yep. I'd been building my stake back to pre Covid amounts and hoping for an increase back to pre Covid share price i.e. 200p plus. Personally I'd hope any offer is above that but realistically may not be...- to get to pre Covid level bid would have to be around 210 - think that would around 30% on recent price. As for revaluation, strange one...but sounds good news...Guess a bid may follow and be determined by that..

I'm not too technical in approach but I am holding for long term unless of course there is a take-over, quite possible. The market positioning is incredibly strong, not surprising as they to some extent created it and I do think they will continue to grow the US and other markets. It is a "thing" alright...

I'm resisting taking just a little profit but it is getting quite hard !! Such a great story...and co..

Share price is moving up - 70p at end of Oct
Small pull back recently but trend is clear for me. Given prospects, I'm holding not selling.
I sold out of JDG far too early and not making same mistake twice. I may be stupid but not that stupid.....

Because of this and few other things, I'm back into this one in a small way - hoping to recoup some of the dosh I lost before on the fall from c£5....!

And he bought some more - so I did too.

See the other new non exec has now bought - bet he wishes he had done so earlier !!! But good news for holders....
