Lots of potential again this year and signs that everything might be moving north, but the whole share option thing and yet another placing are the only things I can think of why this has dropped so badly this year. 2019 can't come quick enough, get this annus horribilus out the way. UJO to be my jewel in the crown next year...
Hoping we can claw back in that time towards .15 Kiwi, where we started the year. Yes there's been frustrating council meetings, but the overriding news I think has been positive, so it's difficult to stomach the 50%. Us mere PIs with a few million shares won't make a difference, but a large investor might. Have a good feeling that might be soon...
Keep them coming. Momentum will eventually be reflected in share price. Not selling mine for under.10 that's for sure.
Terrible year for the share price. Let's hope 2019 is better. Mind you, can't get much worse! Happy Christmas to all fellow LTHs. Next year will be our year...
Indeed Chate. We should all buy when it's low and sell when it's high. How difficult can it be... If only!
Hi Chate, the Maths should work as follows. Multiply your RRS holding by 6.128. Multiply that figure by ABX price (as you say currently 11.69) then divide that by exchange rate (roughly 1.3). That's your equivalent holding.
e.g. You have 100 RRS shares x 6.128 = 613. 613 x 11.69 = $7165.97. Divide by 1.3 = £5,512. Compare that to 100 RRS shares at yesterday's close = £5,518. Pretty much the same give or take dollar fluctuations overnight. A Brexit calamity would see a gold safe haven run, so who knows where this will be in March 2019? GLA
Probably the most informative, well written comments and observations ever on this forum over the last few days. Insightful and educative, genuinely useful stuff, thanks everyone. And slightly more intelligent than "Last chance to buy in at .18", "Absolute bargain at these prices", "My buy is listed as a sell" and "It's just the MMs playing games". Roll on 2019 it appears.
I agree, uninspiring report. But quite encouraging that the lack of concrete had no adverse affect on the share price. Hopefully no further falls and we can look forward to a bit of progress in Q4 with a sequentially fruitful 2019. I always get the impression with UJO that it wouldn't take much to really kick-start things and double figures will be commonplace, even back to .20. Just need that uplift to encourage investment, which right now is the odd paltry buy from the "penny brigade".
Just as I say that, a little swing towards £5.40 again. As you quite rightly say, early doors!
Cannot see anything in that report that is negative. Improvements all round and outlook positive. And yet here we are from over £7 down to £5.32. Hopefully a rally in the lead up to deadline day in early October.
And yet down a few pence early doors. Nothing makes sense on results days. What did the market want, a 50p dividend...
Blimey. And I was told that we would never see eight again. This is a truly horrendous time for us shareholders. Will the cash reserve be eaten into in order to pay the big salaries? If so, we could be in real trouble if things don't get moving quickly, as the money has to come from somewhere. Another placing at this stage could be catastrophic. Nothing positive around at all. Sentiment at an all time low. Cannot believe this after the euphoria of earlier this summer. Can anyone spin any thing good from a plummeting share price?
The plunge continues. Trouble is that if the placing comes, this will be .05. Shocking year for the share price.
Nothing negative in that update, so difficult to comprehend how the share price has tumbled from over 7 to under 5. Market sentiment is just very powerful I guess. Surely we'll see a gradual climb up now as people buy for the huge dividend. But since when do great results mean a rise in share price. Or maybe I'm just a cynical old git.
Back to the dreaded single figures. This has been by miles the worst performing share I own. The worry is that this has been after a spate of positivity. I honestly thought 2018 would bring back the good old days of .20 -.40, but it appears that .02 - .04 is more likely the way we're going. Then no institutional investors will go near it. Could be a real issue if the cash reserve gets eaten into. Unless we have another market hating placement. Sorry to be so negative, but whilst we can all think Panglossian regarding the company and its prospects, there isn't one person who can say that they are pleased with what's happened to the share price (except of course all those who thought "topping up was a good idea when it fell below .20 a couple of years back, and then .16 and then .13 and then recently at .11. - certainly "topping" up now would have been wiser. GLA, I like most others still think this is a healthy long termer, but it would be nice to see some upward movement soon to encourage others to buy in.
Truly shocking year for the share price. So much optimism in the spring, positivity erupting and back to single figures. Dreadful performance. So disappointing. Genuinely thought after council rethink, this would rise to .20. It's actually done the opposite and plummeted back to where it was. Ah well, won't sell for a paltry .09.
Once more, results are very solid with recurring revenues and a positive outlook in both UK and US, plus an increase in dividend. But the market tends not to like that expression "In line with". We'll see!
Yeah and he seems an ethical man SAS so we keep the faith. I guess having been here for a couple of years now, I'm just frustrated that in all that time, we haven't gained momentum on what is an exiting prospect. Although I'm wise enough to appreciate it is a speculative prospect. If it was any more than that, the big institutions would be hovering them up. Certainly not selling though.
To go from.0875 to .14 after the good news from last week was such good momentum. Yet here we are back at nearly.10 again. Thought we'd create more interest from some big boys. And I love a big boy. Terribly frustrating. In AIM one always accepts that there is manipulation, but this should not have sunk so far down again. Unless there is another placement coming. Please God no.
Whatever spin you put on it, that is a terrible week given the good news from those lovely councillors. Never mind. Lovely weekend ahead.
