Thanks prof a quote from your link "This rookie-level error is more the sort that might be expected of a cash-strapped junior miner starting up operations, and suggests to us that some level of resting on laurels (i.e. complacency) might have set in.
I always thought mgt were the trusted part of this company. Didn't they re-iterate in Q1 results. I was more worried about Egyptian politics, world events, price of gold etc.
Cowichan I fear that I over played how good our new IR was. Alex had just started and was replying to everything. Then MrT asked all the searching questions we want answering and I encouraged this board to also go for it.
Mine was just that I had bought 5 aswell and could only dream about 1 going to a mil one day.
Seems like my response to hh was also removed. As well. Didn't think we were being censored on here. Oh well you learn sonething new....etc

Hi Tibbs My first thoughts about this are trump is an idiot madman. However if he solves North Korea then maybe this approach works. Really not sure.
Welcome back Tibbs and Siko. Your contributions are valued and have kept the board alive I have sort of run out of steam and am just recharging my batteries. (I do regularly read the board though)
Hi Rebess a mighty read indeed. Thanks Looks like you will be correct about the pm dropping for 20th settlement day
Hi Rebess Have you got a link to your comment "Backwardation of 13 weeks with LBMA delivery". interested to read about this.
"Imagine controlling a market so thoroughly that you could short it endlessly, whenever you wished, and wait for buying demand to wane enough so that the price dropped from there." https://goldsilver.com/blog/jpmorgan-now-holds-over-700-million-ounces-of-physical-silver/
Good point Rebess....double whammy
I am expecting the Cartel to beat down the price of gold as the Syria crisis blows over.
Copy of the following email sent yesterday by MrTibbles to IR Centamin. Maybe we should all support him in getting our views to Centamin. alexandra.carse@centamin.je (I previously sent a few myself about shipments and share buy backs). Good Morning Alex, We need some exiting news to excite the market and act as a catalyst to ignite the Centamin share price. But unfortunately the announced 2018 forecast has been a bit of damp squid, especially with the disappointing Q1 output; let us hope that the soon to be commissioned new crusher may help increase the output and that gold remains above $1300. So as 2018 production is looking as though it wont create the required excitement to ignite the CEY share price then perhaps the management team should consider seriously some other options . 1 Put a concerted effort into resolving the court case, (This is preventing institutional investment and detrimentally affecting share holder value) 2. Sort out the diesel subsidy dispute (This is an ongoing extra cost affecting company profits and returns to share holders) 3There are far too many Cey shares in circulation, announce a share buyback this would send out the right signal to the markets and have a very positive effect on the share price as well as providing extra value and security to the existing share holders. (You may be aware that in most PLC companies when directors bonuses are awarded their success in maximising share price value to investors is taken into account, not just hitting production targets as at present in Centamin) 4. If EMRA are serious about wanting to maximise the revenue from mining to the Egyptian treasury then it is time to have fresh meaningful negotiations with them about creating another successful mine in country that Centamin is already accustomed to working in, (Both the Egyptian Centamin management and EMRA should stop their sometimes school boyish Im not playing anymore! bickering in the Egyptian media and sort out their differences in more business like way) As a long term investor I am being perfectly frank and honest and I hope that my comments will accepted in the spirit in which they are given.
Dasut --Tibbs is fully invested in CEY and working tirelessly in the background contacting CEY, Egyptian government officials, helping other investors etc. I only post a small amount of what he is upto. I don't agree with everything he says e.g. I said 130k for q1 he reckoned 125k. (know who won that one) Anyway this is what he recently wrote "With gold at $1.50 our share price should be over 2.00 and some! We need that court case off our tail and Centamin need to call for a meeting in high places to get things sorted. The court has stated there is no evidence of any wrong doing by Centamin, the court has also stated that Alfakarani has admitted he never did have any actual evidence of wrong doing by Centamin and his case was based on Its just not fair. EMRA is now accepting many millions of dollars in profit share from Centamin, how could it being doing that if the Sukari concession agreement with Centamin wasnt valid? Centamin have honoured their part of the profit share agreement, whilst the Egyptian government has reneged on the agreed subsidy for diesel and Centamin is paying the full price. I was always under the impression that the diesel case subsidy would be sorted before profit share kicked in, obviously the gold price increase brought forward profit share, however the fuel bill is still clocking up and do we know if the initial goodwill advance payments to EMRA been paid back from this? I was told over two years ago if Centamin win the diesel fuel subsidy case then there is very little chance of the Egyptian government being able to stump up any lump sum payment and that it would be taken out of the EMRA profit share over a period of time to be agreed. So it may be that the EMRA is happy to kick this can down the road for as long as it can, until who knows it may be forgotten about! Cey management is excellent as far as running the mine goes, however they are all to fond of the easy option of sitting on their hands regarding these long outstanding issues that are costing the company and the share holders a great deal of money. Remuneration packages for the directors should be based on a much wider range of issues than at present and include their success in sorting out these very important long outstanding issues so all investors and stake holders also get their fair share." So if you agree with this maybe e-mail Alex our friendly Investor relations lady. She will at least respond back to you...promptly.
Tricky -- I hate the fact that trump tweets especially glorifying any kind of war, intimidating countries etc. I mis-trust mainstream media and often notice they don't cover or spin news stories. Social media is wild wet town.
Tricky --It's not what I believe but when you see the gold price spike up as a result from a tweet then I would say it was worthy of posting.

"Centamin CEO Andrew Pardey added that additional grade control drilling and rescheduling has resulted in accelerated access to the higher grade openpit Stage 4 primary ore throughout the second quarter. " The processing plant has delivered a strong first quarter with throughput greater than three-million tonnes. Metallurgical recoveries have significantly improved to 89.6% following the continued focus on process controls and successful enhancements to the elution circuit, Pardey added. The fourth secondary crusher has been installed and commissioning is under way, further lifting throughput capacity in line with increased underground tonnage. Building on the strong plant performance this quarter we look forward with confidence to delivering on our production guidance throughout 2018, he said in the statement. http://www.miningweekly.com/article/centamin-boasts-solid-start-to-the-year-with-14-yy-increase-in-q1-output-2018-04-09
