Much of the recent improvement has been delivered by Ecommerce, which is up 6.6% on a two-year basis. Growth gathered momentum in October as we finally began to trade against a comparable full-price period, following an extended sale in September FY20. This performance has been supported by our growing investment into social marketing.

I literally cannot find a single thing anywhere that suggests to me online has stopped its growth - it may well have spiked during covid but the continuing trend is up up up!!

News of the ecommerce boost came as the retailer reported a 3.6% rise in group sales in the 26 weeks to March 2, to £1.3bn. Group like-for-like sales, which strip out the effect of store openings and closures, rose by 3.1%. UK sales rose by 3.9% to £1.1bn and international sales by 2% to £206m. However, pre-tax profits dipped by 5.4% to £120.3m, from £127.1m at the same time last year.

Today it said that mobile continued to be its fastest-growing channel, with sales up by 265%, compared to the same time last year.

PEOPLE FORGET THIS - There are 79 international Debenhams stores, 62 franchised and 17 owned. The company aims to have 150 in total in five years' time.

Does anyone remember this from the recent h1 update by boohoo???

"Consumer demand has been improving through August, principally in the UK but also in key overseas markets such as Ireland and France, where there has been a re-acceleration in the rate of growth. This has again improved in September, where the rate of gross sales growth has increased compared to that achieved in the second quarter of the financial year."

I've just been browsing the next update from today - not only have they reported a 40 percent jump in online sales but they also say this....

"The over-performance in the last five weeks has added +0.3% to our full year guidance as set out below. "

"During the last five weeks we have beaten our full price sales forecast by £14m which generated around £4m of profit. We anticipate that this will be largely offset by: (1) further investment in digital marketing and (2) increased use of inbound air freight and other Online distribution costs. So, we are maintaining our full year profit guidance of £800m."

Next seem to be backing up what Boohoo said about accelerating sales in sept and they also seem to be upping their digital marketing like boohoo.......

As I said above I believe revenue will come in at 2.275 billion for 2021 which would give us over 35 percent growth rate per year for the last 2 years.

What ever way you look at it the company is way above guidance!

We all know what management are working towards here and that is a 600p share price in 2023/24

I wonder if they may make a move to the main market now all the supplier problems are behind us - boo are now leading the market in this respect with Sir Brian Leveson overseeing matters.

It's actually good to these companies are giving comparatives to 2019 as it gives a clearer view without the big covid spike in sales or in most cases like primark the covid crash is sales.

What next has told us today backs up what every other single statistic tells us - THERE IS A HUGE SHIFT ONLINE!!

This continual shift has been accelerated by covid and there's no going back!!

When you look at boohoo without the covid spike we have grown at 35% per year.... Way above guidance.

Anyone that believes the highstreet is taking back market share is seriously deluded.
