Im just not seeing a "merger" happening...

Why would boo merge with asos, historically boohoo has double the margin of asos, and asos is making much bigger losses....

I could however see boohoo make an offer for asos, the kamani family have far reaching tentacles into vast amounts of money and could easily raise the money, they also have large chunks of skin in the game.

The strongest point here is just how much stock the family own where as over at asos the skin in the game is tiny.

Having only found out mid morning that asos are also skipping the update, it has changed my opinion of what is going on behind closed doors.

Let's wait and see.

The fact that asos have taken the same route makes this a tad more intriguing....

I suspect both companies have seen an increase in trading but both are wanting to see if it continues before updating the market.

Gut feeling - company is trading behind guidance and shareholders should plan for another year of watching this go nowhere...

Looks like this is the first ever year to miss a December and January trading update.

In 2022 they missed January and the sp tanked nearly 40 percent. (They did update in Dec 21)

They then updated in March 22 and the sp flew 40 percent as guidance was met.

Since that the sp has been more or less in the mid to high 30s (average)

Will we get a march update?

What to make of no trading update? Nobody knows any facts so it will all be guess work and the big investors will only be paying attention to the next set of figures.

Are they behind guidance but have seen an improvement in trading that makes them think they will hit guidance?

Are they just trading within guidance and see no point in a trading update?

Are they behind guidance and dont see how they will hit it? They could easily be behind and not update as they can always say they thought trading would improve. (will this be the last bit of pain before they sack off JL and get someone with experience in this field?)

Could there be big developments with the usa trading that they want to cement before updating the market?

They have missed trading updates while trading well and within guidance.
