Anyone heard anything at all on Green Glen Minerals ......?
...not what the markets think, 17% down, great start to the day . ffs.
...secondary placing by private equity firms raising £189M, ....so can anyone more experienced please clarify, just a bit of a temporary stitch up for the PI's and we just have to sit tight in expectation SP will recover? I assume its normal for the shareprice to drop 10% when 10% of the company is sold off....just a case of waiting for the shares to get bought up to get the SP going again? I dont get this malarkey.
Sharp drop on this today, looking at the trades, anyone have any idea if anything in particular might have triggered £1M of these to be sold off near close of play today ?
I've been an idiot & sat on my hands over the last few days when I should have either sold out at 86p or opted to purchase my NPR. In my excitement over Guy Fawkes night I completely forgot the deadline to buy or sell the rights passed last night with AJB. I've now been told that I'll receive a lapsed rights proceeds payment when RR sells my lapsed rights at the end of the RI process, based on the closing day final NPR share price.
Sorry if its a daft question but does "based on the final NPR share price" mean that it will be a proportion of that final rights price or just whatever the price actually is, and typically, does that NPR price nosedive on the last few days (I know its linked to the actual share price, but just wondered about typical trends). Just trying to work out how much I've lost by waving about sparklers yesterday rather than being a proper grown up.
Cheers.
12% drop as of 11:30 seems a bit extreme to me given the rest of the market seems to be holding ok, not sure whats going on.
@Kmcd, if it helps Ive come off phone to AJ Bell this morning re ERIS who said assuming the demerger was ok'd at the GM, as long as you are holding ERIS you will automatically have the EGR shares allocated to your trading account on 29th Oct.
Just had a phone call (strangely) from AJ Bell, and theyve now told me I was incorrectly advised earlier & the window to sell or exercise your rights is close of business TODAY. Who knows if thats definitely right though as Ive had 3 different answers from 3 different people there now. Best check with your broker yourself.
AJ Bell is midnight tomorrow. Depending on what the prof has to say tonight, it might be worth holding off any decision till after that. The price to sell the rights is peanuts now anyway, so might be worth the gamble of holding on.
@calamari, re ""couldn't we just sell them then for more cash then selling the rights?"", I think what bobby was asking was - Can he make a profit by buying the rights @ 88p, and then when he gets the shares on 7th Oct, if the share price at that time is say, £1, sell them straight away at that point at 8p profit per share. And as far as I can see the answer is yes.
The question/gamble is simply whether by the time you have your new shares, having exercised your option to buy, if you want to sell them straight away will the share price be more or less than the 88p you paid for them. You'll only be able to make an instant profit if it's higher.
Would have been happy to sell at 4p, but as usual I didn't wake up early enough. Need to get a backup alarm clock. Gonna just hold our for a rally tomorrow AM.
