I think that stat is related to the SP500 I've heard it before somewhere. That all the compounding gains are the result of 10 days of the year and if you trade in and out you would lose the typical 8% CAGR the index does per year. Something like that . It makes less sense to trade in and out of a index as it defects the point of being diversified but in and out of AIM stocks and miners still has a place if you can execute well
