Blencowe Resources: Aspiring to become one of the largest graphite producers in the world. Watch the video here.
Cheques arrived this morning. Good luck all for the future! (WarOnBuffet: Trick C Belle gets fillet steak for dinner tonight)
My reading of this is that cheques will be posted up 14 days after 13/8, so hopefully 28th Aug latest? http://about.keysight.com/cgi-bin/file.cgi/?req=Anite-Scheme_Effective Can't see why it has to take that long though
It does seem a bit odd. Look at the RNSs showing heavies buying large at over 126. I guess a few well placed rumours could make them a mint even if there isn't another real bidder out there?
I'm holding. If they're committed to pay 126, I'm cool if the market price dives, if someone makes a better offer then great. I've been in a long time too, and was starting to get bored with it. (Trick C has only had one off day in months, and has really been on form this week. Although I had been putting that down to the presence of a cavachon house guest for the last couple of weeks and the fun she's been having chasing the same suicidal squirrel out of the garden who's hell bent on raiding the bird feeder. Who knew it was really all about a corporate takeover?)
https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/keysight-technologies-acquire-anite-061200974.html Today Keysight announced a recommended cash acquisition by Keysight Netherlands B.V., a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Keysight Technologies, to acquire the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Anite, a U.K.-based leading supplier of test and measurement solutions to the international wireless market. At 126 pence per share, the acquisition values Anite (on a fully diluted basis) at approximately £388 million (US$606 million based upon an exchange rate of 1.56 USD:GBP). This cash acquisition has been unanimously recommended by the board of directors of Anite.
Good call Belles! 100 would be nice but looks like it's run out of steam for today?
Anyone else seeing a pattern here? :-)
Wow. Numis give AIE an add! They've always been first in the queue to put a downer on it.
I wonder if any of the shamen who understand these charts .... http://www.4-traders.com/ANITE-PLC-4000833/ ... could comment, a) what are the cyan lines? b) the pink line is about to duck under the blue one. I seem to remember someone commenting before that this is an auspicious event. Certainly looking back over the last year or so it seems to have happened at the beginning of an uptrend or very shortly shortly after the uptrend started? (War on Buffet et al: FYI Trick C Belle is full of beans this week and very much looking forward to the BH weekend)
I think it must be ADN Aberdeen Asset Management. https://www.google.com/finance?q=LON%3AADN&ei=L6-hU4HBFIvXwAOW1oGIAQ Ah! Now I get it! Largest single shareholder in Anite at the moment with 11.89% http://markets.ft.com/research/Markets/Tearsheets/Business-profile?s=AIE:LSE No treats for Trick C this evening - she really should have known that.
Nope. Trick C doesn't seem to know either.
Aberdeen?
She's not too bad, although I was a little worried yesterday morning when she initially declined her half of a thinly-sliced cocktail sausage. Panic over when she eventually scoffed it - suspect she was waiting for it to warm up a bit. I think she may be looking forward to our canal barge holiday last week of June, when she's likely to be very excited - lots of squirrels and waterfowl to shout at. However AIE results are out 2nd Jul, so any gains from the excitement might be wiped out the following week if Young Mr Humphrey uses ridiculously negative phrases like "encouraging performance"
Oh you mean THAT Hepburn. I thought it was the one that was in the African Queen with Humphrey Bogart or On Golden Pond. Aren't I a dunce
Traders $odding about in my opinion. Last week when the price jumped up I got a strong waft of this investor's favourite aroma: burning bear. They'll be wanting their ever so hard earned money back.
Still here! I must say I've been refraining from sharing Trick C's progress with the group recently as some of the more serious high-finance bods must obviously find it all rather frivolous. However, she's actually been rather chipper all through the recent depression in the AIE SP which leads me to think that: a) there is no relationship between her health and the SP after all, or b) there is a correlation and she's had an undiagnosed underlying condition that has not as yet manifested itself in outward symptoms and that I really should be taking her to the vet for bloods and an MRI scan etc. I think it's b) and today's upturn may indicate whatever malady it was is clearing up. Phew. Best keep an eye on it though.
Trick C's eyes are fine now, but she was still down in the dumps for a while. I think this is what caused the dip down into the 70s. The good news for AIE is that she brightened up over the weekend, even getting back to her favourite sport of hedgehog hunting in the garden with her sidekick, Our Marnie (best pronounced with a Scouse or Manchester accent)
She's called Trick C Belle. A 3kg Chihuahua, so not very big but considerably heavier than a flutter by, so her actions must be having considerably more influence on the SP. Her eyes are nearly better now, so we should gradually see an improvement in the SP, although one of the number crunchers will doubtless disagree and say it's more to do with bouncing of some mathematical support level or some tosh like that?
Ah yes. Chaos theory. That'll be it. I think I know what's going on now. One of our dogs had sore eyes a couple of weeks ago and we had to take her to the vet to get drops. Can't imagine why I didn't think of it before!
LOL. See my previous posts / ramblings along the lines of "any news is bad news" for Anite and how this completely perplexes me! The thing is, if it's being rigged, what's the game plan? Is it just relatively short term trading wins, not caring what the long term price is, or is it being hammered down so someone can pile in large and make 20%+ on a few million when they let it ping back over the pound? So do we buy more? But that seemed like a good idea at 85p though! Either way it's getting close to the highest price I paid for Anite. What is a boy to do?
