We are a great bunch and even when it goes down we support each other through the good and bad times.
Let's be clear everybody needs to look after themselves and if they need to sell that's their choice no one here is pushing anyone to do something they don't want to.
Most importantly - we believe in where this company is going, so that's why we are here.
Enjoy the weekend everyone and see you all Monday - let's see how the month will end - gut feeling bloody good!
Norfolk - Well said!
I am proud to be on this BB, great bunch supporting each other, if anything the believe is amazing, usually when its going up we are all excited which we should be as this is why we are here.
AS MANY OF YOU HAVE SAID THINK LONG TERM NOT SHORT TERM (by the end of this year should be all good) - imo
On the flip side, going down and instead of panic "must sell must sell" I see comments just bag another couple of hundred thousands shares - good on you all that can!
We are going through correction turbulence which will soon pass and as it goes up we all be hear singing along here comes the good times and well dissevered for having the balls to stick it out. Don't forget just because the shares is going down & by taking your money out and moving to another because its going up you are going to be quid's in - it does not work that way, usually when you buy in the other stock you have missed the boat see it going up and before you blink back down and then do the thing you should never do go and look how the old stock that you took your money out is doing - big big mistake as you might be kicking yourself!
I am making a fairly big loss at the moment and can just cut my losses and get out, been there, done it and live to regret it.
As I said rewards come to those that wait but think its time to add "and got balls"
Question is which one on this BB will be buying the Bentley???
Also wanted to add - when the is a spike in any sector, this is usually followed by a correction which is around 20% - we have hit the 20% mark. Corrections are needed or companies will be worth stupid money when not the true picture.
We all know this is undervalued so could be in our favour moving back up.
Just putting it out there - this might not be a bad thing the drop - as most likely been those on the side lines waiting to buy in, so technically will more buyers in play and start pushing upwards.
Those that have sold have most probably moved else where.
hopefully all the big/backlog sells have cleared given no after hours big sell popping up - if so and the buying continues we should be in for a good day tomorrow and going forward.
Been a painful week or so but the rewards come to those that wait!
I think those that sold or got kicked out due to stop loss will go into panic mode and buy back in - all be jumping on the wagon - if there's space to to get on.
One thing i've learnt is that if you let your emotions take over than you will panic and sell or even buy at the wrong time - trading feeds of emotions therefore if you can't look at the intraday movements then walk away - you can't make the lines move up or down by looking at your mobile of computer and if you believe in this stock you've got nothing to worry about - it will come good.
Saw a comment further down, if
Thanks Fishboy - much apricated for the update.
Gave them a call and only other option is to sell/ wait 2 days and then they transfer funds from share account to isa i.e. sell today and call them on Wednesday to transfer into isa and then i can buy again.
Making a loss at the moment so will need to wait for up trend - big risks though as when this goes up i think i will have to buy at a much higher price within 2 days.
Just opened ISA account with Hargreaves Lansdown - all my shares are in a normal share account so need to move from share to isa.
Running at a lost as the moment on EQT but have faith and will wait for move upwards first and then sell and buy into ISA (Bed process), will take a hit but at least won't pay CGT on the profit in the isa i think! - outweighs gains that here to be made - lost of a couple hundred is meaningless given potentially profit tax free.
I have other shares in my portfolio but only been topping up on EQT and taking profits from others to top up here - IMO this alone will make 20 times more than the rest of my portfolio put together.
When this starts heading north i don't think there be much room to stop it and will be topped up with RNS each time - I predicted 29.25p, but think i might be selling myself short and maybe more like 32.50 - IMO
We haven't missed the boat yet but will do soon...
I want to to clarify how shares works.
- High profiles usually negotiate their comp package beforehand and market research has already been done by the business on their competitors and know what they need to offer - everything has a ceiling though!
- Businesses will usually have the range to offer i.e. LTIP (long term incentive plan) STIP (short term incentive plan) STIP is also know as annual bonus.
- These days businesses look at the comp package as King rather than base salary (don't forget base salary will be good anyway)
- Employees also prefer the Comp package - they deliver and receive the rewards which outweighs salary by a mile.
In regards to shares there are 2 parts even though someone receive shares from day 1. it is usually an award of those shares, important award means granted these shares not theirs until vested which happens on the anniversary at market value (you will still need to be a active employee) this is one way of ensuring the employee stays or if they jump ship they get nothing.
Here's the incentive if you do a great job and help the business grow and bring in revenue usually shares prices go up, so you quid's in, not just on the shares now being vested e.g. from award value of 2p to 5p on 10 mil shares = the £300K more when it was awarded , much better than a bumper increase of 10% on base salary and don't forget the bonus this will be much higher as businesses usually use a target approach or business multiplier and the higher the % goes the bigger payout, usually capped at 2 x salary (since the banking crash) before there was no limits.
This is my job so know what am talking about and how it works - incentives are much better - but you will get bad years i.e. COVID-19
