I have the patience of a saint. My good lady does not and it’s not Mr Heddle’s ear that getting bent every day so just a little tidbit of news to pacify her would be much appreciated.
Prize - choose either a jar of Nutella or 1M GGP shares.

First buy February 2019 and only up 400%. Bah - should have left it in the Nationwide!
We’re going to get tired of saying that.
Square root of an onion is just ridiculous! Never heard anything quite so ignorant. Anyone with even a bit of rudimentary education, like wot I’ve got, should know when talking about gold, calculations always involve carrots. Know thy veg.
GDXJ MAY want to invest in GGP but I’d be no particular hurry to invest in GDXJ. If this sentiment has already been posted then I apologise for repeating it. Keeping up with all of the posts on this fizzing board is a full time task.
Avizandum. Do the Wellmeadow Café in Paisley and Mr Minchella mean anything to you?
Maybe not lots and lots of ladies Frannie but, from time to time, lots and lots of children.
So much speculation going on. It’s going to be this, it’s not going to be that. No, it is going to be that and not this. Well I know what the news is going to be. GH has new coffee machine for his office, the fact of which he will announce to the world next week and his recollection is that it cost between A$800 and A$1000. Now can we all please take a break for the rest of the weekend.
And now he’s got slightly more than me but only by 77,000,000 shares or so.
Fat chance of us getting together in a Scottish pub any time soon. Perhaps in a bar garden sometime in December.
I’m not going to tell anybody that I’m a retired lawyer. Too much grief. But if I did mention it, I would be sure to say that I was one of the good ones. A legend in my own lunchtime I like to think!
Thanks KSanta. So supply, demand and massive gambling!
I’ve read about shares going from a few pence or cents to multiple £ or $ in the space of days or months and wonder about the mechanics of rises like that. Having acquired a very insignificant, some might even say scraped, pass in ‘A’ level economics 49 years ago I have a meagre understanding of the law of supply and demand but there are a finite number of shares, so even if an investor had, say, £10m to buy, there would have to be corresponding sellers to meet that demand. In a share that was starting to rocket, surely those that already held a position would be reluctant to part with their holding. This issue is perhaps Share Dealing 101 but I’m a rank amateur jealously guarding his speculative punt in GGP.
That has got to hurt!
Not before time Mickey. I like it.
Mickey 60p? He wouldn’t get out of bed for a puny figure like that now.
My first buy here was at 1.76p and I’ve had 5 more significant top ups since. Started on a recommendation by my son a year past February and intended to top slice at 10p for a free ride and handy profit. That strategy is now out of the window. Getting into GGP was intended as a pure punt and I’m now in it for the journey. If it goes to pot it will be sad but won’t affect our way of life and if it comes good, as I’m very confident it will, my four adult kids will be the beneficiaries.
It’s on Sharesmag.
