Some are going to be traders. They might have bought in at 1.2 and sell at 1.6 a week later. It might seem foolish to a LTH but to a trader it makes sense to take a profit and move onto the next opportunity.

You could legitimately say "who is selling at 2.2 when the olympic challenger is in the pentland firth right now" but it turned out to be a good move for those selling at 2.2 and buying back in today

Well I think an uskmouth rejection has been priced in at these levels, so a formal rejection would have little effect, and an approval would be a massive bonus.

I think accepting waste from England is an even bigger thorn for Llwyodraeth Cymru, But I think their animosity to Russia has overtaken their animosity to Lloegr at this point. :-)

There was a previous culture amongst government, specifically in wales of 'no new carbon', and although uskmouth running on EfW would be much better than the coal it used to burn, it's still no zero-carbon. The general attitude has changed in favour of energy independence, even at the expense of reducing carbon emissions at home. So whilst uskmouth is still in the balance, the Welsh government might be inclined to allow this as it will have a solid impact on reducing gas consumption.

I can't remember verbatim what was said, but First Ministers questions in the Senedd seemed quite passionate about reducing dependence on Russian hydrocarbons, with reference being made to an oil tanker at milford haven not being unloaded. That's not to say it's even likely, but it's certainly increased the odds of approval

Makes you wonder why Olympic challenger was docked at invergordon for a day, now back at nigg. Maybe doing several different trips one turbine at a time, or maybe she's doing another job in that area anyway and all is finished

Yes, they have to make sure everything is complete before an RNS, but these things should be pretty swift as soon as it is signed off, rather than let it linger for weeks then post in a 'operational update'

There are ton's of automated RNSs about the SP swinging wildly, but few explaining why it's happening.

I hope we get an RNS immediately after all work is completed, rather than wait weeks and weeks for it to be tagged onto the end of an 'operational update'

Can't see that happening. They planned to put 3 back in, and now all of a sudden Olympic challenger docks at Nigg then pentland, rather than pentland then nigg
