RE: Don't Sell BOOM too cheaply!17 Feb 2022 20:28
SoundMan - people sell for all kinds of reasons, sometimes it's to 'bed and isa' a share, or like me at the end of January when i sold some to pay my tax bill. Also folk will seek to free up money to invest elsewhere; for instance we could easily see a 50% rise from here into a firm offer, which is great, but other shares might double or triple in value in the same time, so banking your profits and investing elsewhere can lead to far greater percentage increases. When you've been investing for a long time (I have no idea whether you have been or not) one has the experience to know that the most important thing is to bank our profits. I'm sure we have all experienced not selling at times like this only to see no offer come through and the share price to tumble. Obvs I hope it does the reverse here, but it that tumble does occur then those selling large quantities now will be the wise ones. IMHO £30 take out price.
