Jon_Boy...That is the million-dollar question that no one seems to be able to answer. Think this has open a lot of peoples eyes and the only time you are safe, is when you sell and money is in your account.
Not just Hargreaves then. The number of trades I have been unable to complete is laughable. Just makes you wonder who is being allowed to get out with a profit in these rises.I sat here this morning pressing requote for 20 mins and only got a trade price when the price had dropped heavily.
Anyone else having trouble with dealing with Hargreaves?..If a share rises and you want to trade, you are presented with a message "unable to retrieve live quote" ..But once the price has fallen and you have missed any chance of profit, you are able then to trade again. This seems to be happening more and more, and they determine when you can trade
I contacted HL on 20th March about trading data, this is the reply i got. I’m sorry to say it’s not up and running yet. The switch over to a new data provider hasn’t been as smooth as we’d like and unfortunately sometimes these types of business changes can take some time.
