May be so Stackhigh but I think the small (in the grand scheme of things) increase in volume of shares being traded as well as the larger chunks (so recently 2m sold, chunks of over 0.5m sold today) leads me to believe otherwise.... don't think this is the small PI here, and if not PI's then by definition soes that not mean some kind of II buying?
Just my thoughts, not sure why deciding to post but want to get some other thoughts as to why we are so low.
I always come back to the discovery graph below, in my head we are clearly in the Orphan phase, whilst not as clear cut as below (for example discovery to now has been drawn out and also some Institutional investment early on with NCM / BHP etc) but I'm going to call the bottom of the Orphan period we have just seen (and probably still in).

Personally I'm trying to work out my sell price... I think we were 40p relatively recently and (despite dilution) genuinely think the Cascabel component (or even just Alpala) should be 60p+.
In addition, there is significant additional value in Solgold recently (or soon to be) with
i) a pretty sizeable cash injection
ii) an ADDITIONAL ownership of 15% of ENSA
iii) the additional projects / value from acquiring Cornerstone
iv) obviously the additional discoveries and potential for more in the future.
I am strongly opposed to a blanket sale of Solgold IF fair and reasonable value to the above cannot be attributed with any bid.
Also, Cornerstone was worth a sizeable check relatively recently, surely not all of that value was for Solgold so once merger complete, when will that additional value be reflected in the share price.
Even if Cascabel alone is discounted to what was suggested to say 50p / share ... in my mind the additional aspects of Solgold could be worth another 40p (at a wild guess surely) so I think personally I am looking at 90p upwards as a conservative price I am *hoping* for .. Yes, it is hope but when I go back to the graph of a discovery, surely there is only 1 direction this will go over the next 12 months and hopefully many many multiples from here.
Welcome any thoughts
Agree, hence why I included 'facts' in statement below. :-)
Point is, from an outside perspective, internal playground stuff appears to be focussed on who is right, a good board has facts, opinions, 'hunches', hopes and wishes and that what I think is great on this board. Let's not dress up opinions as binary facts however is my humble ask.
No problem Quady,
Same applies to all on this board TBH ...as somebody new to Solgold, balanced discussion is what convinced me in the end to invest, people who try to make out XYZ is a certainty however need to look a little more internally beyond simply trying to prove a point as it is playground stuff and hoping most of us are intelligentenough to see beyond it in order to have true debate and discussion incuding opinions, facts, 'hunches', and 'insider knowldge'.... all good stuff but try not to state as facts if they are personal beliefs (however right somebody is likely to be). :-)
Quady, must admit I respect your posts and input and make a great counter to those that say this will be sold by pointing out at the same time funding has been secured to progress the asset and explore other ways to accelerate.
However statements like "certainly not for a bid!" are misleading as you know no more than anybody else. You need to broaden your mindset to prevent various types of unconcious bias.
To me, every possibility is still in play, Maxit and co clearly pushing for a sale, BHP (although quiet) clearly won't want to lose out on their investment and could put in a bid, recent investments from others could be expanded, AND to your point none of the above may happen and we could continue progressing and drilling with the funding received... in mind mind that is a possibility and probably the default unless one of the above options happens. Who knows drilling could advance / discover another asset.
Please however Quady, take a look at your continued insistence that there is only 1 definite / certain outcome here, to ignore the above shows signs of ignorance, being blinded your by unconscious bias or stupidity... you certainly are not stupid but please open your horizons and at least admit, other options are a possibility...please ?
Noddy question Orchard... where do you vote in Halifax Share Dealing?
@StackHigh You may be right, but seems a short sighted perspective IMO... none of us know what is going on but Warren Irwin seems to imply with his quote "I don’t think you understand what is going on at SolGold." that more is to come.

This funding is not to keep the lights on, we don't need that money now for some time to come, I prefer to think that it part of a well planned and hopefully advanced strategy to get more value for us shareholders. As someone else pointed out, it might be to 'buy-back' the SOLG shares that Cornerstone hold, hence reducing dilution, so that when a much bigger offer (possibly or probably comes) you get more back overall.
Addicknt: re speed of change
Completely agree mate and to be honest I suspect there is more in the pipeline ... IMO it alleviates some of the concern and talk around the 'bluster' over the last few days.
Thanks for the extract RedKnight.
Good to see some actual research and facts back on this board !
Welcome some genuine responses here and all opinions, trying to make some sense of todays news.
-Was CEO pushed or did he quit? Surely he would have 6 months notice at that level so can't see him quitting 4-5 months in his post.
-If pushed, why now? Makes no sense from a shareholder value perspective, adds nervousness and whilst saving nearly $100K / month, the royalty deal means there is no immediate short term funding problem.
-If takeover on the cards and this was by mutual consent, at what point do Solgold have to announce takeover talks happening? Thought if an offer was presented a RNS required immediately.
-What insider knowledge does Warren Irwin have to suggest in his latest tweet, unleashing value for Solgold shareholders will be "Sale of Solgold" https://twitter.com/bigdude6669/status/1590197591882416129 < twitter in case link doesn't work
My feelings are more and more this is being lined up for a sale, but for those that have more knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, surely more would be in the public domain if this was well underway, or is that what Warren Irwin hinting at?
Anyway, as somebody put on here, more questions than answers so would welcome thoughts?
@RedKnight, agree, talking different perspectives. No offence taken.
Enjoy your posts have been reading / watching Solg for some time now.
@RedKnight, I don't think I am missing the point to be honest, the pedant can pick holes in every post and I most certainly do in my head pretty much.
You are a good poster from what I have seen, understand the context of my post in implied value at some point in the future, and this shows massive faith. CAPEX costs, risks, political, dilution of course factor into that future, I think that is taken as read. Take a step back and look at the semantics of the post and the intent buddy, simply trying to help any new to this forum with a snapshot macro view.
Approx 18.95 pence now.
£50 million investment for 0.6% streaming deal implies over £8 BILLION of value in the future.... we are currently at £0.4BILLION capital. I know this is future vs present but shows underlying faith in the long term opportunity here.
For the new to this board, SolgGold have significant rights to explore much of the underexplored Ecuador... several promising prospects already been drilled out... One of them Cascabel, which contains Alpala has reached a phase approaching the definitive feasibility study.
Lots on here think wither Solgold will get sold, or just the Alpala or Calacabel asset will get sold.
Others think this will go to production in which case the company may be paying dividends in many years to come greater than the current share price.
FOR NEW INVESTORS! Don't listen to anyone on this board who black and white says this will happen / that will happen. They may prove to be right but NOBODY knows, and the board has a history of not calling out even recent announcements (e.g. Merger). Everyone has an opinion and that is great, but those who say this will / will not happen, are guessing / expressing an opinion only or in the worst case don't have an open mind to consider alternative outcomes.
My opinion for what it is worth:
This should hopefully go back up to 20's or 30's now some short term funding has been secured.
Agree with a previous comment, focus now seems to be on strategic review... i.e. what happens next for company.
On balance of probability my opinion is it will probably get sold (just the asset) but tax implications complicate this.
What I HOPE for is to take this to production and it becomes a BHP / RIO esque company built on multiple copper / gold and other mineral assets in Equador but probably that is 10-20 years in the future IMO, along with much dilution and risk.
