Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Exxon’s major successes at Stabroek has been the driving force behind the Guyana excitement. The US oiler has found billions of barrels of resources in a faultless series of exploration wells offshore.
Eco has a 15% interest in Orinduik which is the neighbouring block, and, importantly it has well-funded, experienced partners to push the high potential project forward.
In Berenberg’s note, Karimli highlighted: “The Exxon-led consortium has made 10 discoveries in the neighbouring Stabroek block, with total recoverable resources of more than 5bn bbl.
“These discoveries, currently in development, may deliver upwards of 750kbpd of production by 2025, making Guyana one of the largest oil-producing nations in the world.”
“Eco and its partners will be targeting over 1bn barrels of gross unrisked resources in 2019 (Eco has a 15% working interest). We estimate total un-risked upside for Eco could be over £5 per share, compared with our risked NAV of £1.1 per share.”
The facts speak for themselves : A company with deeper pockets than Sound will unlock the motherlode. TE-5 wasn't a one-off, "pin the tail on the donkey", discovery in an acreage the size of Belgium : that would be too much of a fluke. Obviously three or four drills wasn't enough, but imagine how a major could exploit the land with multiple drills. This could be worth a fortune with the right funding.
Also, let’s not forget TE-7 and its rising pressure:
“Analysis of the pressures measured in the well recorded over time has led to an increase in the Company's estimate of connected GOIP around TE-7 to a volume exceeding 115 Bscf. Historical analysis of the pressure trend, announced on 19 July 2017, had previously shown that the volume of connected GOIP around TE-7 exceeded 40 Bscf.
The significant increase in the Company's estimates of minimum GOIP connected to the TE-7 well provides support for the Company's field development plan consisting of a number of horizontal stimulated production wells spaced to optimise recovery."

"If you can buy, if you can, top up....DO NOT SELL OUT OF SOU!!!" n4aPound. Remember saying that?
Like many others on here, you are a dishonest trader, flipping your opinion around depending on your short position.

Excellent reminder of what could be unlocked by a company with deeper pockets than Sou. What are the chances that TE-5 is a fluke in an "acreage the size of Belgium"? That would have to be one almighty fluke.
And to create yet more apathy and doubt than there already is. Can be effective in softening up share holders in time for a low ball bid. Many names on here than have suddenly poppepd up. Te-5 simply wasn't a fluke in an "acerage the size of Belgium". If a company has the money and resources those tcf will get unlocked.
In our last conference call, James Parsons stated “I simple refuse to believe that in acreage the size of Belgium, the TE-5 is the only gas accumulation.” He does have a point. It took a few wells to be drilled in the past for success, but they did get there. For a company with deeper pockets than Sound, our asset should surely be enticing. There is plenty of gas there -that's proven. I'm convinced a well funded 'major' could unlock this.
Unstimulated gas has been recovered right at the surface/shallow zone. This bodes very well indeed. Now bring on stimulation.
And oil price nearing $75. Crazy price.
Long overdue we turned this corner. I anticipate a sharp rise in SP imminently.
Well said.
You're a proven, incessant liar. That's all we need to know.
Jez, the proven and self confessed liar, I thought you were leaving? We all remember the lies and the gloating on Facebook, from the confines of your fetid, gaseous bedsit. I'd suggest you focus on acquiring a job rather than spraying the room with your constant fire hose of bulls*it.
Bigbench, another pathetically transparent deramp. Changed your tune, I see.
Fellrunner, your creepy obsession with James Parsons, despite your not holding a single share, is one of the most pathetic spectacles of misspent time I have witnessed. Truly the biggest loser on here.
Yep, every time Fell posts his creepy, obsessive bile about Sound, the SP rockets. Keep them coming! ☺
We do indeed have a huge area and have only drilled a tiny fraction of what is out there, so if we get 1.4 tcf from our relatively limited drilling, that's incredibly promising, but imagine what the "big boys" could achieve with almost unlimited financial resources. The chances of our other wells being mere "flukes" are vanishingly small. There has to be a lot more out there, and hopefully TE-10 will unlock yet more gas. The upside is immense and would have to factor into the LE price.
I've warned you for ages about GB - the guy is hopeless. Genuinely doesn't have a clue what he's doing.
Andrew Benitz / Malcy make it crystal clear that the SP is undervalued on the absolute lowest estimation of our PROVEN oil discovery, yet the upside is £10 per share or more - and that is only the Verbier. Cortina is even bigger and just as promising! Fully funded until at least middle of 2020. Investors Chronicle article is worth a read too. Exciting times ahead. The drill bit is turning... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8sK7MAANjw&t=123s
*Clearly all the oil fumes have affected my spelling. Lol! *Could comfortably be "£10 a share" (ala Malcy) within weeks. Already a proven find, remember, with enormous potential on appraisal drill and the 3D seismic, also increasingly likely connected super size wells. Mad to fritter and trade this now. GLA.
