I think we will see an increase in volume before any news. SOU maybe a tight ship atm but these things have a way of leaking out. Any significant increase in buys and I expect news soon.
Quiet as a mouse today.
GLA
JTZ I thought that you said the marketing process ends on 31 July, we aren’t at that date yet so why the change of heart?
GLA
He has to leave ‘no deal’ open as an option otherwise he has lost his negotiating position.
I’m talking about JP of course ;o)
GLA
Exploration the seismic on SM is by end of q3 next year (2020) not mid 2000.
I won’t even bother to respond to the comment about net current liabilities!
GLA
Exploration how on earth do you get zero cash in 4 to 5 months? Can you share your detailed calculations as with cash holdings and the recent raise combined with the reductions in OPEX detailed by JJ I can’t replicate your figures?
GLA
JP said at FSC that there was a deadline, but it hasn’t been disclosed and although I asked it wasn’t answered. The pay cut on 1st August seems a clue however for all we know the deadline could already of passed and the 1st August could be tied into the Spa. Certainly next few weeks could drop anytime.
GLA
Jez sorry to hear your news, must have come as a bit of a shock. Hopefully better news is on the way.
‘There is no oil and gas anywhere, not even where they have found it, there is only oil/gas where I said there was, but there wasn’t so I was prosecuted’ LOL
GLA
Omar is it true that you serve time in Morocco for lies about gas/oil fields?
Asking for a friend.
GLA
God this is boring, same old bile from same old posters.
Maybe just maybe the presentations have been completed and JP has taken a short break (heaven forbid he gets a break with his family) just prior to the deadline date of 31 July when it will be all hands to the deck again to evaluate the offers and then negotiate the SPA.
Hopefully this will all be over soon and we won't have to put up with some of the amateurs who obviously only bought shares on the basis of what JP said, and were too lazy or just too stupid to do any background research of their own, just a thought.
GLA
The 29% is an average figure. so possibly some are taking 50% and others are taking less. I would expect BM is taking close to 100% as he can't find anything let alone gas in a site the size of two Qatars !
Anyway hopefully the 29% will be irrelevant if we get a good offer and all move on.
GLA
JTF and K2F agree with both of you. Need some news as this board is boring atm with all the 'its worth more than 25p...no it isn't' ping pong
I was surprised when JP said no news would be communicated until there is a SPA agreed (at last FSC) I'm nt sure of the rationale but assume it is so that full details can be communicated to SH prior to vote?
I would imagine JP would be confident of SH agreement if he recommends an offer.....besides most posters on here seem to think it's worthless so anything above 10p is a great deal to them. (personally still confident of 50p+)
GLA
JTF I don't think we will get an update in early August (assuming marketing finishes 31 July) . If we do then I fear it would be to tell us that no acceptable offers have been received.
JP was clear that the first update would be a recommended offer and that would be after the SPA had been agreed. I think it will take at least 4 weeks for offers to be evaluated and SPA agreed.
Hope I'm wrong and its sooner but can't see it myself.
GLA
Agree Dingdangdo. Anything that drags this on any longer is bad news. I think if that was the case SH would want to know what the offers were (if any).
I am still confident that there will be offers and that SOU will be obliged to take one, I think the MG are calling the tune atm.
GLA
Although volume is low there are some nice chunky buys coming in today.
GLA
It's gone really quiet here last few days. With no official news likely in the near future anyone fancy a sweepstake on the timing of the RNS for either 'recommended offer' or 'No offers have been received'?
I will go for recommended offer 30th August (2019 before anyone makes the obvious joke)
GLA
Let's hope the Sound story mirrors that of England yesterday and when all looks lost there is a dramatic comeback and a bit of a fluke and we all win!
GLA
No there's a guy on his council estate who has a flat on the 39th floor of the Nelson Mandela block.
GLA
Tradesnakes before you choke on your popcorn tell us how you know they haven't ;o)
LW I'm sure someone will correct me but I thought Rothchilds were appointed some time ago, well before TE10 (now that is a pun, although not a funny one).
If you mean lined up to start the process then yes I suspect the process would have started regardless of result.
