Not to forget, that Dev Clever/Veative manufacture their own ‘Veative’ branded VR headsets via our Mumbai based partner QWR. There’s money in them there headsets.
7th Dec RNS:
“QWR, is a leading manufacturer, developer and distributor of cutting-edge immersive VR, AR, and MR devices and experiences with operations in multiple countries globally from Asia.
The Company will receive US$150 per device on an annual recurring SaaS subscription-basis.”
Sorry @JoeyP, over to you :-)
AR/VR emerges as an important subject in Indian state schools.
... Veative Labs is reportedly delivering VR headsets to schools in Kohima in Nagaland.

n.b. As far as I'm aware, none of the big Indian EdTech unicorns have entered the VR market in any meaningful way to date. It appears more and more, the Veative acquisition was a very shrewd move.
I think you're right @RandyPoffo. In cricketing parlance, we'll be fending of a lot of googlies in September, not least because certain influential people have had to be kicked in the goolies, but come October/November we'll be knocking it for six. (n.b. timescales pure speculation on my part).
I refer you to my recent tarot card reading:
“I went to see a tarot card reader on Sunday. She told me that September was a time for me to hold my nerve, and that I would deeply regret not doing so, come Oct/Nov. Can’t imagine what she meant.”
Well said @Moxaz, I also believe this company has an extremely bright future ahead of it, especially since we ditched a few notable hangers on.
So, that's Canada, USA, UK, Australia, India, Middle East & Latin America covered this week.
Have I missed out any countries/continents?
This message carries a 'ramp' warning.

Rumors about a high-end virtual reality (VR) headset from Apple have been making the rounds, suggesting that one might hit the market as soon as January 2023. According to GlobalData, a product of this nature from Apple will boost demand for associated VR and augmented reality (AR) games, apps and services.

Not bad, we're in the world's top 10.
Didn't realise we had an office in Bogata.
I'm assuming that's Columbia, since LATAM presumably means Latin America.
But, then again, the usual spelling is Bogota, so who knows?
It's all in Spanish anyway.
Only 2 employees, but it's a start.

The Unlimited Opportunities of the Metaverse
We believe that current digital experiences will go the way of the VHS tape. Everything in the future will run on either new MR hardware that replaces smartphones (e.g., glasses with transparent screens) or VR headsets for games, social, entertainment and tools.

The interesting thing about that Alan Greenberg interview, was that the interview itself was not particularly about Dev Clever / LaunchMyCareer, nonetheless, Alan seemed quite excited to get the news out there. It kind of accidentally slipped into a Vox Markets type interview about Dev Clever, so it might be a bit harsh to view it as a ramping.
"In the pilot program alone, they (LaunchMyCareer) have 3.5 million students, I'll repeat the number, 3.5 million students...there is data that suggests maybe that number could end up at 50 or 60 million people"
- Alan Greenberg 01 Aug 22
I mean 50 or 60 million people is quite a claim, when you consider Byju’s user base is approx 115 million (50% of Byju's supposed worth of $22bn would be very nice ha ha).
I think the key phrase he used was “there is data that suggests”. That ‘data’ has quite possibly come from Dev Clever’s recent ‘market validation campaign’, referred to in the 19th July RNS. These kind of forecasts/predictions are what market validation campaigns are all about. Quite a positive development, in any case.
Whilst we're not developing a Metaversity, these institutions (and others going forward) will have to get their VR content from somewhere. Having the world’s largest library of curriculum-aligned, interactive VR modules for STEM, now available in 9 languages, opens up these markets for Dev Clever/Veative.
10 Metaversities Opening across the US this Autumn, including the prestigious Stanford University

I was thinking Metaversities were years away, but here we have 10 already opening up this year. Ofcourse, Dev Clever aren't developing a Metaversity, but you can get an idea of where this is going.
Hybrid education is very likely going to be the future of education. Might we see a 3 day school week in the future, with a couple of days on-line for students? Just think about the favourable impact on the environment (traffic / polution) and on teacher retention.
It's already happening in India, with the likes of Vedantu, Byju and Unacademy opening Tuition Centres, offering blended/hybrid learning.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Immersive Education Enhanced by the Addition of VRCreate to the Veative Suite of VR Tools
(New York, NY) - Veative is pleased to announce a collaborative partnership with present4D, bringing the ability to create and edit virtual reality projects to schools, teachers, and students across the globe. Editing software is not entirely new, however this unique approach, a completely offline solution, addresses the real needs of schools and districts from India to the US, Africa to Europe.
Check out our full press release by visiting:
https://bit.ly/Veative-VRCreate.
Ankur Aggarwal, CEO at Veative Labs, added:
“We are both excited and thankful to work with present4D. We have looked at similar tools for years, never able to find the right fit, which importantly included a similar mindset. We happily found a partner who understood our needs and expressed the same vision. As the creator of the world’s largest library of curriculum-aligned, interactive VR modules for STEM, Veative has understood that a large library is a great place to start the learning process, but that by giving students and teachers the ability to create projects and modules on their own, schools could leverage purchased VR hardware to do more. Empowering students to not only understand complex concepts better, but to display a higher level of cognition by being able to create their own has long been needed. This collaboration attends to that goal."
And, before anyone says Asimilar have sold a gazillion shares, they haven't sold any...it's a dilution RNS :-)
Cheers @barnard
You-Learn.net, also known as The Learning hub, is a direct to consumer App store that is scheduled for launch Q4/2022. Alan has taken some kind of ownership of it (in the project management sense, I assume), but all the content is owned by Dev Clever/Veative. See 'The Learning Hub' page: "Language Learning, Literacy, innovative Maths Learning engagement, and other portfolio development. Content built by the DevClever Plc companies"
There will be deals done with Telco companies to promote and monitise it. And, according to Alan, two pilots are about to get underway. One in an established Western market and one in an emerging market.
See my Sunday posts:
The Learning Hub is an APP store. With an initial portfolio of some 35 VR STEM subject focused APPs, each APP with some 20+ learning modules. With complimentary lesson plans, and teacher or parent supporting collaterals to support self paced learning on a mobile device or laptop. The APPs will deliver personal learning journeys, adaptive learning, for each student.
https://you-learn.net/ther-stem-app-project/
If you look at the video featured alongside the "You-Learn Apps" section of the Learning Hub page (scroll down a little), it gives the names of some course and prices (pause it at 28 seconds in).
You-Learn STEM VR Rs. 30,000
You-Learn ELL VR Rs. 30,000
You-Learn VR Premium Bundle Rs. 39,999
Rs. 30,000 is equivalent to about £310
You can see a beta version of the App store here.

18 minutes in...
"I'm building something else using the same core competences of LaunchMyCareer...something called You-Learn.net..."
"It's a new project collaborating directly with Telco companies"
"We're just about to enter into a pilot program with one Telco company who's asked us to develop a pilot in two regions. One in an established market, a Western market, and one in an emerging market..."
So, Alan is fronting the You-Learn.net project, hence as I mentioned the other day, he features in the 'Contact Details' section.
This feeds into my suggestion that Dev is intentionally keeping a low profile, except that Alan's let the cat out of the bag with this one :-)

Listen to the whole interview, it's enlightening on many fronts.
But, for the impatient, skip to 17 minutes in...
"In the pilot program alone, they (LaunchMyCareer) have 3.5 million students, I'll repeat the number, 3.5 million students...there is data that suggests maybe that number could end up at 50 or 60 million people"
