The vaccination is drive is going really well, it’s one of the best in the world so if it takes a few weeks more to for an adequate number of people to get vaccinated then so be it, the government will work on numbers so I’d prefer they get it right this time and take away the uncertainty that’s holding the sp down.
We’ve come a long way chaps and chappettes, CINE has opened its door for business and I’m confident that demand will come back strong especially with the blockbusters lined up… if you’re in the red now, remember that it’s a paper loss, waiting patiently will be rewarded!
I was on the Reddit board discussing ways to get investors on board and scare the living crap out of the shorters, the opinions were pretty much the same, there’s not enough awareness of this stock however if there are any social media experts on this board it will be a good start!
As much as a takeover would make sense for many reasons atm it’s all speculation. I’m confident that once we fully open open with no capacity restrictions, that’s when we’ll see the real momentum moving up and with the vaccination drive it’s looking like a positive outlook!
Looking back at the 5 year trend for cinema income, it’s was pretty much consistent and doing just fine before the pandemic struck otherwise they wouldn’t have considered a takeover of Cineplex.
It’s a waiting game with with many businesses who are now in recovery mode.
Thanks LPD for the informative post. Agreed that a further extended lockdown has little impact on the current situation with CINE, it just means that we won’t see that famous sp bounce if 21st June was still on... I’m long on CINE so another 4 weeks doesn’t make a difference to me as long as the current variant gets under control, that’s reminds me, my 2nd jab is in 2 weeks!
4 weeks delay is not much considering the length of the pandemic impact it’s had on the market, the sp dropped to below 20p and the longs on this board didn’t jump ship. The current dip is expected purely down to sentiment.
CINE’s doors are open for business and the vaccination drive is one of the best in the world, Boris is even donating vaccines to other countries which says a lot about our capacity.
Hold strong chaps and chappettes, captain Mooky is steering the CINE ship to a sunny exotic island, you don’t want to miss out on the fun!
I’m also not loosing sleep over the current drop, sentiment plays a big part in the market and the new variant is what’s concerning everyone right now so if the government need more time to vaccinate people and get a grip on the issue then so be it... cinemas will remain open whatever the decision and we have some heavy duty releases coming soon.
I’m anticipating that if Boris does announce a further delay the there will be some compromise for example keeping people working from home longer, enabling businesses to operate at higher capacity.
We all heard Mooky’s optimism and projection going forward... trust the captain!
Nice one itrader! This is what adds confidence back into investors and makes the shorters jump off the cliff!
If the rest of the restrictions are lifted by June 21st then I’m happy to continue WFH for as long as it takes and I can use the money saved from travelling into London on more movies and popcorn :))

Mooky’s an old timer, Don Corleone, tough as nails in this game who eats, sleeps and breathes the Cinema business! Onwards and upwards.
Winner gets a Bugatti Chiron (sticker)
I can’t see the sp below £1 by EOP Friday... anyway I’m long on CINE and have been here since it dropped below 20p as some of the other old school crew... £1.50 target minimum, until then enjoy the ride on the CINE ship with captain Mooky steering us to the Maldives!

@ the end of June I’m expecting the sp to be £1.20+
We’ve seen this sp bounce hard a few times and it feels like another bounce is coming soon however I’ll be happy to see it climb steadily towards June 21st as by then the demand for Cinemas will be crystal clear so we could be back towards £1.10+ by then imo.
I feel the frustration of my fellow investors here, I'm still confident holding and the longs I'm sure are in the same boat.
On the other side of the mountain, Crypto's dead cat bounce has been ridiculous today however I'm still skeptical about the sheer volatility of trading Crypto so staying clear for now.
What in the McVitie's classics is all this talk of a takeover!
I started reading Ashstash’s post and it felt like I had a dark cloud over my head and it starting raining on a perfectly sunny day... I don’t why but I can just image ash standing outside a CINE like the queens guard telling perfectly happy customers that they may get struck by lightening... it’s just the impression I get and hence the Debbie Downer tag remains for now.
The Debbie Downer tag didn’t pop out from thin air, Ashstash’s posts sounds like jumping off the CINE ship on any little uncertainty and then waving to the rest of the investors to be pulled back on board until Boris does another announcement then jump back on the lifeboat and telling the rest of the investors the ship is about to sink, seems like a half way house!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but Ashstash stands out as someone you wouldn’t want to be sitting next to in the Cinema in case you’re alerted that ceiling is about to fall on us from every little sound effect from the speakers!
It’s a completely different ball game now with the progression of the vaccines, if mutations can evolve so can the top up vaccines which I anticipate will become the norm until the virus is nowhere in site. The issue with government is that are slow to react when a new mutation is in site and then they panic, it’s a reactive approach rather than a proactive one which is why there is so much resentment amongst the public!
