I just draw a trend line on the 6 months daily chart.

In order to have a breakout from the down trend, the SP has to reach 490

Not far from here !!

Very strange movements in the last 1/2 hour

200K shares sold twice, then the SP dive, then shoot up again !!

How about if our Resident PRO give us his PRO Opinion after he consult his Freeware Magic Software, and use the LSE Kaz Chart .

I also think that for a double bottom to be valid (confirmed) we must move up and cross the 50 day MA (moving Average)

The good news is that last time when we tried and failed, the 50 MA was £6 , now it has moved down to just under £5.5

So in a way, there is a better chance to cross it and stay above.

IMH of course , and I might be wrong, but any other views would be useful !

But in all fairness, Copper price and futures this morning are doing exactly the same

They shot up first thing, then slowly going down, and Kaz just following the same.

Hopefully there will be a change in the Copper direction upward soon.

IMO, I would think it will reach £3/lb before any pull back, and if all is good with Kaz results, then we will be looking at £7.00 .

I think the SP direction at the moment is in the hands of the Day Traders

So, they are doing a fair bit of Long and Short all day along

Every one else are waiting for a direction that will be revealed after the production results, and maybe other announcments too.

It can go either way !!

But for now, it is just a Day Trader game.

Just noticed some big buys (150K)

IMO , I think some serious investors will start to take advantage today with Long Positions, I would imagine retail bargain hunters too.

Lets hope for a nice ride.

If better than expected (which I think it will be ), then expect some fire works upward.

I think IMHO the board will be very keen to show that all is well with production and revenue to attract investors and this will change the SP direction.

Most of the investors avoid been in a stock before, or at quarter or yearly results, just in case they get caught in a sell off

So I would expect this to happen until the results are out.

Lets just hope that they are better than expected.

At the moment it is just a long and short game for day traders to make few quids.

This share has turned into a Football for day traders to play with.

There is no general direction at the moment, so it up and down every 5 minutes !

China is changing !

They are emerging from been an industrial based society into a Consumer society.
This has already started which will mean :

More White goods for every family (Washing machines, Dish washers, Fridges, Microware, electric cockers etc....)
More Computers, TVs, Electric gadgets , etc...
More Cars and other personal transport

Lets have a simple calculation :

Population is 1.6 Billion and rising
Working force I would say more than 1 Billion
China has a unique family small struchture, they didnt have more than 1 child for many years, so this means a very high number of familys per city/ village etc..

If each family buy consumer goods containing a total of 10Kg copper (very modest estimate), then we will have and increased demand of 10 Million Tons in the next 5 years
This equate to 50% of the whole world demand !!
This will produce a huge demand that will outstrip all production

Dont forget :

India will be doing the same too
Electric Cars, Electric wind generators, etc...

The future for Copper is Bright :)

I have a good feeling about next week !!

I know, I keep banging on about copper price :)
But it is the key holder for Kaz SP
Today, Copper price is almost the highest for 3 months, after a Consolidation period of a month, I reckon there is a high chance that it will break upward soon with a big time rally

Target , around 7000 if not more, have a look at the charts.

All that of course is IMHO

Not sure how much more it will go down.

IMO it means high demand, and more upward pressure on Copper price.
