“There is no shortage of posters on this board willing to state that nothing will stop the drill, be it an injunction, a judicial review or anything else. It's perhaps worth stating the obvious: even if this board were populated solely with top flight lawyers, nobody can state this with certainty.”
Very good post. There is also the damage that can be done to the share price simply because the threat in question takes on a more tangible form, whatever its CoS. This morning’s RNS tells us that, as far as BPC is aware, this has not happened yet. But you don’t have to be a top flight lawyer to read the information that became available this morning as having been extracted from papers prepared for court.
This is why I started selling at 9:30 and, after over 90mins of this and a little help from that RNS, was finally out completely just after 11:00. Happy to have all my money back, even if the profit on my shares is disappointingly small. I will now await developments from the sidelines and see what the balance of risk and reward looks like once we have some more information. Everyone has to decide for themselves how much risk they are willing to tolerate and over what timescales. With hindsight I should, of course, have ditched my shares when I ditched my spread bets at 2.93p.
