Blencowe Resources: Aspiring to become one of the largest graphite producers in the world. Watch the video here.
Shares go ex-div on 12th of Feb. You need to hold them by end of play on 11th Feb. Dividend is € 0.54 paid on 25th Feb minus the German with-holding tax, so around 30p per share. Check the values, I'm working from memory.
Why is the SP dropping? I see the 737 problems, but there is compensation on the way from Boeing. I see Thomas Cook out of the game. I see an airliner shot down over Syria by accident and general tensions in the Middle East thanks to dear Donald. SP is 882 now, why?
Miner, I am sure you will have numerous replies to you request. I will start with the need for research. You cannot know too much about the company, read RNS releases , newspaper articles, company accounts, in fact, anything to do with the company. There are a number of books available to help get you started on investing, I suggest you read a few and then go on to make your own mistakes! ( we all have made mistakes). Keep a lid on your costs and be prepared to sell at a small loss before it turns into a big loss. A number of websites give free information, some charge. Don't forget to keep a lid on your costs. Good Luck.
Sold mine this morning 14.5 after costs. Huge loss but, as you say, the deal could fail and LWB would be toast. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!
My nan used to drink thirds, about right for the yanks!
27p? You lost me, I thought LWB was trading at 9-10p today.
"Hope springs eternal in the human breast". I've written these off, but there is a chance....just a chance, maybe.
Well said, Gerry. I remember the "good old days", nationalised industry with unions holding us ALL to ransom, money being poured into poorly run, unprofitable enterprises. Governments are composed of politicians, not industrialists. Keep the politicians away from running( ruining?) industry and let the industrialists make their profit, there is benefit there for all.
The annual rise towards ex-div day.
Ha Ha, renewable energy.......wind blows....Just brilliant!
I had written this share off, then saw the corporate action. I don't trust Best & co one bit, anything could happen. In answer to Northern, anthracite is not a heating fuel, it is a raw material for steel production, that's where the value is.
Yesterday this site quoted 15/2/19 as the payment date, this morning it quotes 26/2/19, with 11/2 AND 13/2 as the final ex-div dates! Other sites still quote 15/2. These are not brewery shares are they?
This site and others quote 15th Feb as the payment date. Where am I going wrong? LSE has never given out false info has they?
Sorry to interrupt, but you don't burn anthracite in power stations. It's far too good to just throw it on the fire!

Caveat, the offer is to give 1.5587 new ordinary shares of £0.025 NOMINAL VALUE each for every ACG share. They may not have a sale value of 2.5p. Good news, though. Movement at last.GLA.
Twoshirts, you are correct in that the fund managers have an opinion and they express it. When was the last time a fund manager asked your opinion? They appear to be making assumptions about everyone else's opinions without reference. They should not be voting on the basis of those assumptions.
It's about time the fund managers were reminded that they don't ACTUALLY own the shares, so why are they allowed to vote as though they own the shares they manage?
They would not be selling if there was a profit being made, especially when one of their competitors is making such a pig's ear of it!
CLLN going out has left a huge hole in the market, contracts half finished, other contracts in the middle of negotiations etc. GFRD will pick up a proportion of this work with the low-margin, low quote competitor gone. We should see better-priced projects now with decent margins.Any price under 1200 is a buy IMO.
