You just keep your sights trained on a missing word CB and the size of a conference. hopefully it will hit your trading buy price if you do. I have everything crossed for, I really do. I hope you’re wasting time more and energy with this pointless argument.
You’re right CB, based on previous performance, however, situations can and do change and that in a nutshell is where we are. Either they have moved on and in which case 4p will hopefully never be seen again OR your correct and they couldn’t deliver the post. Again my hope and indeed feeling post the announcements of the last couple of months, progress is finally starting to come through. You can keep digging up the past but hopefully you won’t miss the changing winds.
What would you have said in his position? I agree, I think he was probably put on the spot and very crudely plucked a figure out of the air possibly basing it on the orders they have received and the total number of customers in each utility. I can’t speak for him and I’m just guessing. As LTI points out, he could quite easily have 100m but people would think he was a loon. Personally, I’d have said 10m and it would be happy to surprise on the upside but it might be equally unrealistic as it could be a lot higher. At 10m units, i would be delighted.
Struggling here to understand the contentious point. 50m is mentioned, 20% of the 250m roll out. Given where we stand currently, I’d be disappointed if they weren’t targeting 20%. At 10% delivery, we’d all be over the moon! What did you expect, “we’re the market leader In terms of units deployed currently and have stole a march but we’re only targeting 5% of the addressable market”?
Agreed, ITT.
Even another order would be nice but not value changing. needs a decent set of results showing the orders convert to cash. They are proving this slowly as 4.5m received last year but will need a few More steps Forward without any further stumbles and it will be a different story.
And that’s your prerogative, mine has been to invest into the tech, roll with the punches and hopefully be a beneficiary should the tech monetise and our shares are in demand. As Tony points out, a small level of EPS would hopefully translate into a very different company valuation. I will respectfully read your posts in future but now know your objectives are more short term.
Things can change very quickly in the market and holding short term might “cost” as you put it too. I’m not particularly interested in the share price unless more cash is needed immediately but the recent orders are progress and the share price will take care of itself. My experience, It’s hard when things fall, it’s harder watching things go up when you’re out.
I agree with your point about re branding a minnows offering, the hope is that we have done enough with these competitive and long winded tenders and deployments (however small) have progressed far enough to mean scrapping them and changing course would also be unviable. Hopefully we’re enough of an irritant and there is enough of the rollout to go at to make it attractive for the big boys to come in an get value from the remainder.
So if you’re invested, surely look for the positives, I’m a long term holder so naturally as racked off as most, but actually it might just have turned a corner, My own thoughts FWIW, I think another couple of decent orders, a results statement which demonstrate the validity and this could do very well from here. Your criticism based on history is perfectly valid, fingers crossed things have changed and it will move towards where Tony believes it will go. Sadly a takeout well before that is more likely.
