Antivirals and therapeutics
21. Advances in antivirals and therapeutics will continue to provide additional tools to
manage COVID-19. Several treatments are already available through the NHS for
patients with COVID-19, including dexamethasone and tocilizumab which reduce
morbidity and mortality.
22. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has recently
approved casirivimab and imdevimab as the first monoclonal antibody combination
product indicated for use in the prevention and treatment of acute COVID-19 infection
for the UK in some individuals.16 The Government is now working with the NHS and
expert clinicians to ensure this treatment can be rolled out to NHS patients as soon
as possible.
23. In April, the Prime Minister launched the Antivirals Taskforce. The aim of the Taskforce
is to identify treatments for UK patients who have been exposed to COVID-19 to stop
the infection spreading and speed up recovery time. The Taskforce is leading the
search for new antivirals, which disrupt how the virus replicates in the body and can
reduce the number of patients who are hospitalised, and potentially help to break
chains of transmission when administered responsibly.

COVID-19 RESPONSE: AUTUMN AND WINTER PLAN 9
24. The Government will continue to work with the life sciences sector to ensure that
effective therapeutics, including antivirals, complement the vaccination programme
to enable the long-term management of COVID-19 and its clinical impacts. The
Government and NHS will set out more details on the availability and administration
of further treatments in due course.
Spent the last year watching Covid news conferences hoping for Odx news! Is today finally the one? Looking like it. And no there would be no rns before the gov have claimed the glory. Might have to throw the rest of the kitchen sink in today

He could have got them cheaper a week ago so shows massive confidence where this is heading :)
ive topped up before the bell too
From another board:
“I see abdx has tweeted something that dials into this thread. Lancet article showed that out of 1482 people hospitalised in the UK that that were more than 21 days after vaccination, 400 of them (27%) died. Data came from the Zoe study.
Of course you need to dial into that age profile, underlying conditions, whether it was 1 or 2 doses etc, but the headline is worrying in that more than 1/4 of people hospitalised, died. “
Has the weekends video been reposted for the weekday crowd. Surprised it’s not up more based on that
Reckon it’s the start of the long awaited rns’s as they could have released this when the sp was tanking in august but this feels like the start of momentum at last
Once approval is granted, we anticipate strong demand for a UK developed and manufactured product.
"Furthermore, we believe we have a high-quality, high-performance product with significant global appeal, including the US market, due to that market's size and high barriers to entry."
Not sure why you’d take money off the table if it hit £10 etc as by then it must have been proved to work so the only way would be up until a takeover. In it till then. Or bust
