Well I'll make the third post on here in the last four years! I thought the results today didn't contain anything to scare the horses - the tone was positive and I liked the focus on growing the business going forward to defray the fixed costs. The cash position remains positive - I wonder if just a slight upward tweak to the divi could have helped the share price.

My purchase shows as a sale on the trades list on this site. All the trades today show as sales, but most of them look similar to mine so I suspect that many of them are buys as well.

Whilst the MICC stock appeared promptly in my broker portfolio, the excel stock feature doesn't recognise MICC yet, and neither does the investegate RNS notification function. Does anyone know how long these normally take to become effective for new companies?

I don't yet have any position in OCDO, but I'm a satisfied customer who gets deliveries from them every other week.

But if they wanted to expand why did they choose America? I think their model works well here in the UK - my deliveries come from Coulsdon (Surrey), about 10 miles away from where I live in Greater London. Saves me driving to a supermarket, and the same for all the places that the van goes to on the same trip. It works.

So wouldn't Paris, Brussels , Munich etc. be be better target markets? Places with excellent public transport systems, where cars aren't needed. Instead of the US, where apart from a few cities, everyone does need a car, and can just go to the Supermarket anyway.

Agree with Sanijuelas1, the Ocado system works to the point where I switched from ordering deliveries from Waitrose to Ocado. I think Waitrose has the edge on food quality, but - unlike Waitrose - there's very rarely any substitutions with Ocado. So they do have a great product that could eventually get reflected in the share price. I've tracked this share for months without acting. Perhaps at below £2, now's the time.

Very good question. I like my holdings to be in round numbers, so that I can memorise them. So after a rights issue or a B&B into my ISA I might do a small trade to get back to round numbers (especially if I've got unused credits). But never just one or two. I'd like to know the answer to this too.

Like you I've been following the share for a while, and it has always seemed to me that it was oversold last April. I bought 400 today - less than I normally buy for a new addition to my SIPP, but I can top up later when funds permit. Having bought at £23.22, I'm pleased to see that that share price didn't promptly drop 2% by the close.

But why not use those funds for more R&D, especially given the huge rise in the share price over the past four years or so? I hope we aren't going the same way as Boeing. Maybe someone smarter can enlighten me about this strategy.

Not a new problem, but my (top-up) buy of 1600 at 16:10 at about £1.59 shows as a sell. Don't place too much reliance on their buy/sell info.

I already have a portfolio of around 30 shares, spread between my ISA and my SIPP. But I can justify one further investment. I know about not catching falling knives. But if I'd stuck slavishly to that, I wouldn't have the 10-bagger plus that RR has turned out to be.

I don't see many obvious choices for another investment, but I think OCDO has a good product - I tried their service and it was good - no substitutions on an £80 order (more than Waitrose usually manage).

But I get the problems financing the debt at 11%, and so I reluctantly believe this will fall further.

Because they have a good product, there will be a time to buy. But this isn't it. IMO

Is today's RNS an indicator to sell , or just day to day normal activity? Mr Grant is certainly at normal retirement age, even a bit beyond it, so I don't see much in this RNS to scare the horses. I'm not complacent and watch the news about the company closely. But very few trades today, and the share price hasn't really moved. And I hope it doesn't before my ISA B&B takes effect.

so why, thunderbird2, not sell your shares (if you have any) and look for pastures new, rather than ****ging the company off in here. whilst recent developments are troubling i agree, i spent £7k on these shares in 2006, since when they have repaid me with dividends way over my purchase price and have provided capital growth as well, even at the current price. i'm using the opportunity, both at the end of the last tax year and the start of the new one to get my holding into my isa, with cgt being a pita. but at least i i've got a couple of dog holdings to offset the cgt.

I think that you right about JDW but wrong about BAE, which is surely fully valued by now, and the SP would be at risk if the Ukraine conflict was suddenly resolved. But this is the JDW board, and let's await the October results.

Well I bought in at £6.825 earlier today, normally the signal for whatever I've bought to immediately drop by a percentage point or two. So I'm pleased to see that for once the reverse happened and it's nearly £7 at the close tonight. It would be good if the company could even out the quality between the very good outlets (eg Coronation Halls in Surbiton), and the crappy ones such as the Tailor's Chalk (Sidcup). But on balance the future for JDW looks to me to be more likely to be positive than negative - hence my purchase.

Another share repurchase today. So we should be pleased that there are now fewer shares in circulation and so the value of our holdings should marginally increase. But in this unstable climate, shouldn't BAe be spending more on R&D, rather than on share repurchases, so as to get more of tomorrow's cake, rather than taking this short-term approach.
