Can you throw in the towel and accept the offer
or
do you have to sell your shares on the open market
Rocketship
Thanks I'm also thinking of moving away from Barclays as well.
They don't seem to care for service.
And you can't buy foreign listed shares like Tesla.
What about the Zinwald shares. Hargreaves Lansdown gave me a choice. Yes or NO.
Nothing from Barclays.
Barclays
I had not notice from Barclays or a chance to cast a vote.
Anyone know anything about voting in these things with Barclays
If not I wont be able to vote against Ganfengs' takeover
Borberbob - Just sounds like he/she is trying to convince us the deal is the best we will get and should just give up and invest elsewhere. Well we may may end up doing that. But that wasn't my aim in buying this share and staying with it for years.
Anyone know how we treat this when reporting to HMRC. The 67.5p buy of the BCN shares will result in a Capital gain or loss which is straightforward.
But I'm not sure how the Zinwald distribution is to be reported.
Presumably when you sell them there is a capital gain - but what price per share would you record the as.
It starts of with the Ganfeng offer of 67.5p share for BCN and the Zinwald shares. The vote is for the distribution of Zinwald shares
Have opened up voting - Log on to account to vote.
Says votes to be cast by Tuesday 21st September
So if you vote to accept that's it you are out regardless of how many actually accept. You get 67.5p a share and some Zinwald shares and can invest elsewhere.
If you say no you keep your shares, but can still sell them, but have no idea whether it will be at 67.5p, less, or more, and no Zinwald shares.
If they get 75% they can delist - do they have to make an offer for your shares when doing so?
Ahh the options and risks of saying no.
If you accept the offer, is that it , they take your shares. Even if 35% or 40% say no. And then Ganfeng have too find a way to get the remainder with a scheme or higher offer for those that hold out.
If they take Bcn private don't they have to make an offer to buy any shares that don't want to be owners of shares in a private company?
If you accept are then going to get the 67.5p share and the Zinwald shares.
Or only if they get above 50% acceptance.
Still trying to find a]out the options
Dee,
Im a little worried about not accepting the offer.
Can you please explain the consequences of not accepting the offer. Elsewhere it's said we will be left with shares at the mercy of Ganfeng. And presumably no zinwald shares. All a bit worrying. If I kept I'd like to sell when I want. If I can't sell easily after the offer then I would have to vote to accept.
So if you vote no and it goes above 75% you just have sell at market prices and get no zinwald shares.
1. Do they take over the company and I keep my shares
2. I am forced to sell
3. Something else
So does it mean we have have several votes choices to make as it progresses?
Initial vote no!
They all votes they needs and we get option to accept?
I don't want to sell at this price. But I don't want to be left with shares I can't sell.
So if vote against then I might be left in shares in a private company?
How would I sell them!
Bit confused. I thought that if we'd managed to get enough votes BCN would remain tradeable. If we lost I'd be forced to sell.
You suggest a third option. Which I'm not sure I'd want. Therefore to avoid that option some, and I included, may be persuaded to vote for in order not to hold shares in a private company.
Only M&G are referred to in the RNS. Means the other major shareholder have not agreed?
My last look many month ago this was
Hanwa 3.21%
Igneous Capital 2.57%
D&A Income Ltd 1.23%
RobecoSAM Smart Materials Equities 4.24%
Total 11.25%
I'm a bit confused I thought Ganfeng needed 75% of the votes for an offer to go thru?
Already sent secure messages to Barclays and Hargreaves Lansdown using their online secure messaging asking them to reject the off for my shares.
Anything else I have to do?
Hope I get some form of confirmation from them
Who in there right mind would want to have anything to do with Afghanistan?
