What you say is broadly correct but planning officers and Councillors like to cover their backs when making decisions and usually incorporate consultees required conditions into a planning permission. These can be costly and time consuming to address and obviously cost more to the business in time, cost and energy. The planning system is now heavily loaded with consultations to all manner of interested groups, statutory and non- statutory. The system needs radical change,

I am pleased that the company has pushed back against this particular consultation. The Green agenda and Ecology movement are ideologues and without the company drawing a line in the sand will then they will just continue to demand even more onerous conditions.

I say again that with our planning system it's a wonder that anything gets built or done at all in the UK. I would get rid of all ecologists and tree and landscape officers tomorrow. The conditions attached to a relatively simple drilling campaign will look ridiculous to most people. The newts, bats, lesser spotted buttercup take preference to jobs for people and addressing these idiotic requirements just adds cost to business.

Reading these conditions is it any wonder things take years to get anything built or done in this country

Looking at the data the share price was about 0.3 at the end of August 2025 which began the big rise up t0 6 - 7p in April of this year.
