For me this and the other falklies are the most interesting shares in AIM. So much potential and yet so far soo disappointing (for many of us, I expect a lot of money has been made on this to) looking at other falklies I just think something is brewing in the North, lets see if I'm right over the next couple of days. Just the beginning I think, many will start selling as soon as this goes up a couple of pence.

These shares are either 0 sp or something huge. If we forget about North and South for a while, there is investment in the FOGL and Premier with Rkh. Any other parties coming to the table will be a tipping point. I can only believe that Bor, Argos and Des are trying to get interested parties and that a announcement of some kind, will come soon? The wait is depending on that news, sps will go up, I shall then top-up what I have because I think sps will continue up and up and never come back. I think either this situ will happen or the future is actually much worse than 'we' investors knew (others already in the know of this) and that a falklie will fold, sps drop further and then worse to come. Yes - this is all common sense but then again, I rely on that way of thinking, have no desire to be technical.

Yes - philyourboots, I remember seeing that and now it's gone, strange! I've always felt this was a strong buy but of late I wonder. Everyone looks at the falklies and thinks this is now lower, it must be a good entry point! However, what if the ones who manipulate have a 0 sp in mind? Lets face it, these shares are either worth a fortune or nothing IMO. There is either alot of oil there or nothing worth chasing and the argies add a bit of spice into the mix. Maybe the impact of fracking elsewhere could affect prices? thoughts on this welcome....

The downward trend for all falklies over many months, death by a thousand cuts! A little rise this morning to lure investors in and then a drop to follow the overall trend. Surely the boards should give support to the sp at times? Unless they know all about the reasons for the downward trend? Just wonder if people are being sold down the line? Which is clearly wrong if they are. IMO

I have always been bullish. I'm no technical trader and in terms of buying shares i'm a professional loser but for me I can read and I read through each website of the falklies oilers and I'm impressed. I do hope these are not shell companies that have paid to have good websites put up. I have also read conspiracy stuff saying these companies have no oil. At the end of the day I think they do, I'm at a loss to explain the share falls in these companies but I also think there are alot of games going on. Interestingly when I tried to buy yesterday in DES I got told by my broker that shares were suspended then a couple of minutes later gave me a price. Does anyone know anything about this and why it would happen? I continue to keep the faith...

This place is gearing up for oil, forget the SP unless you are looking to sell NOW, this has always been a longer term game. Too many want quick money! Maybe this will fall further before going up, I'm resigned to that happening.

Strange situation but I think the outcome (and we know what it will be) of the referendum will give a solid reason for a rise in all falklie sps. Since we will then know that the bargaining power of the argies will be almost fruitless. My feeling is that in the long run there will be some co-operation with the argies as it will suit both sides economically. IMO steady rises from now on until the referendum and then sharply higher. The proof will be in the pudding....certainly I've been buying in as there is oil in the falklies and there are partners, once before there was less interest and much speculation with sps much higher, now there is more interest and less speculation, replaced with known finds and sps that look depressed. Funny game this and although Des has much less money now I'm starting to think the political situ has actually depressed sps. IMO I think Des will announce an interested party after the referendum, we shall see....

I think Des will be where the other falklies explorers are! either a success or dead in the water. I keep reading the company websites of each as I think you can read between the lines at times. I love the Bor website that says, 'Frontier exploration projects characteristically have a higher technical risk profile than exploration projects in mature hydrocarbon provinces. However, the scale of reward in the success case is typically large. The company intends to focus on countries where the political/commercial risks are considered to be relatively low'. Yes indeed, low! Well, we should be ok on that front then.... would be nice if we could find some oil though.

You wouldn't advice buying more at this sp then? The funny thing with these shares and perhaps unlike many other situations with oil (could be wrong) is the number of companies involved in such a small area (got the feeling I'm def. wrong here, lol) we have been given the data that there is 30%+ chance of oil from survey in certain areas but that figure seems to be more tangable if success is found elsewhere in falklies. I'm surprised that when prem oil invested into rkh etc firstly that rkh is at the sp it is now and secondly that des is not higher. I honestly believe that if Des announced significant input from another oil player, every falklie company will shoot up. It just needs another significant interested party! IMO

Totally share your viewpoint. When you have so little info to go on a share like this becomes a total punt. In the past the odd good news story created a rise in this share price and hope for the future. However, were those good news stories misleading? That's the big question for me. Because so little news comes out of this company I do wander if it is just paying staff/director wages etc I have invested for a long time now and think as shareholders we deserve to know more IMO I get the feeling we are either going to get a good news story of further investment/interest or a failed company that had nothing going for it in the first place. Really hope that the long term investors get something to cheer about, you've got to have a particular character to be invested in Falkland island shares, many of the get quick rich investors are long gone, we are left with the die hards now, ready for their final punishment?

Up Up Up......... appears that the volume of oil is there, the SP seems very low at the moment but this can't last. I'm going to enjoy watching this rise, fall back and then rise even further. Sometimes the saying, 'you got to be in it to win it' applies.....

I think farm in news will be soon. For gods sake we have waited with this share. The fact is that the acreage that Des has is of the best in the falklies IMO and the circumstances reg. Argie threat is less now. This share has the potential, it just needs some positive news and I believe it will fly.

Probably an imminent war with Iran in the air at the mo. What will happen to oil prices? esp. as Iran has said it will cut supply to europe. Must be positive for all oilies? just wondering what others think?

Edison, Premier, Noble - they are all starting to come in for a piece of the pie. Surely, anymore interest in Des, Argos or Bor and all must fly? Surprised they havn't as of yet but the interest is there for sure. I think the usual PI's have been burnt too much and not so many re-investing? but for me this slow creaping of the share price is the start of an upward trend, hope I am right. Been a long time investor now and at the some point the promise of potential needs to show itself.

Any ideas why Westmount has been falling of late? Afterall, they have a sizable investment in Des don't they?

How does it work? You buy a load of shares at the start of the day to make the sp rise, all the other punters buy in to and then you off load and the punters get locked in. Just wondering and trying to figure this out. Starting to feel as a long term investor in the FI companies that I am being conned? IMO there should be some mention from the BOD of these companies that we have not been buying into water. This is my feeling anyway, I feel locked in because I have treated things long term.

For some unknown reason I have always kept with this share, I guess just beliving in the acreage. Got to say, disappointed in the release of info, disappointed in the manipulation of the share. Watched a program on Barry Hearn recently and he said you always need to leave a bit of bread in the fishes mouth i.e. don't take everything all at once from the ones that are giving. Overtime as I lose money on this thing, I wonder if someone is leaving scraps of bread for me i.e. hope! Slowly we go down.....
