Once the share buyback occurs and shares are taken off the market, what happens to the shorts?

Profit warning down to the tune of £30m…..

That’s just £40k (at 777 B&M stores in the UK) per store that is needed to bring profits back to predicted levels. With restructuring apace this should be feasible.

With VOD buybacks, every tranche of shares inadvertently raises the percentage holding of e& (Etisalt) in the company….currently 15%. At what stage does the holding of e& raise any LSE legislature…..or doesn’t it?

Tesco briefly hit 210.50.....breaking the �2.10 for the first time in just over a year. Onwards and upwards to �2.40 Deutsche's price target!!

BJ - the tobacco consumption of this nation is reducing as a whole so little wonder P&H is going under. How could a government refuse a takeover on this one very small diminishing market competition aspect. They would be on very thin ice if this was the reason for turning it down. Funny that the government can save more money in health care costs with smoking reduction than in tax revenue from the sales of fags.....

Buying in at 95p and sitting on a small profit - time to exit or sit and wait? When is the bad news due? Get out and buy later? Not sure why if the bad news is around the corner why the s.p. is rising?

Following this weeks flurry of activity, where next for this share? Will there be further rises on Monday or will it be back to the lower levels of 4p that we have been accustomed to? Will the results generate interest? If not, will it be time to hang up on this share?

Can anyone remember them doing this before ? Is Richard Howells a driving force for this company? Will the partnering of RH with Winningtons be a good pairing for the future prospects?

I see that K&W still hold 14,366,000 shares (5.36%). Was it someone on this site or ADVFN that thought they had jettisoned their holding because they were using a competitor's solar panels?

Tony/rc - following the thread on ADVFN, the most recent 'train of thought' is that of J.Leek and his Aimshell company taking over P/W. If this was the case and the s.p. rose would you get out before the acquisition or hold on to any takevover shares in the new company. If a takeover bid came, what could you envisage the sp to realistically reach?

Following the discussions being held on ADVFN, Mudbath has been holding a 'competition' to gauge PUR followers thoughts on the level of profit at the end of year results and what the possible sp might be. When the company returns to profit, what would be the best scenario for this - a small divi or a buy back of shares for the company to hold in treasury? Which one would support the sp more?

This exposure is what Pure needs for the company to get noticed and more investors to pile in. I came across the company following a recommendation via a friend. More people need to be made aware for the sp to prosper?
