The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
I cannot find any specific reason for today's encouraging rise. In my opinion there does seem to be value in a PE of 11.8 falling to 7.8 next year, and a forecast PEG of 0.2. Figures from Digital Look. The SRI is ok at about 50, although it has been much lower. Is the chance of a takeover bid too much to expect ? ??
Significant purchases by directors seem to offer grounds for optimism despite relatively high rating? Also some well known investors are holders, although I do not know at what prices they joined the party! However Chairman's statement seems encouraging too.
Yes an encouraging sign. The IC suggests that growth potential may be underestimated following recent acquisition. The PE nd PEG support this view IMO. I note MIDWICH rose sharply after a director made a similarly large purchase.
That was my first impression too! The RSI indicates heavily oversold, but the spread is a major negative.
IThe feel the spread may cause investors to hesitate about buying.
The Company issued a Trading Statement around this time last year. I cannot find any notice that one is due.Have missed anything relevant?
I have made 2 buys Inc one yesterday via H -L with no problem. Might have saved some money if there had been some difficulty !
Can anyone explain why the share price has dived ? No news via RNS recently. All seemed very positive when best contract success was reported in August and shares rose sharply. Have I missed something ? Seems more than a possible 'tree-shake' ?
Hi I agree the Company seems to be doing well. 're. the student numbers, I wonder if the BREXIT uncertainty is weighing on the share performance? I note that Empiric Studennt Properties has also come under pressure.
Hi can you tell how you arrived at a PE of < 6 please ?
Over 5 million shares sold so far today, so why no change in price? Am I missing something? Director bought recently at about 45p - only adds to the intrigue / confusion?
Simon Thompson at the Investors' Chronicle tipped the shares at about 52p. In my opinion his research is excellent, and his picks usually perform well.
Further to my message below, I should mention that the spurious 'firm' IB Worldwide (not World) International offers broker service to facilitate the purchase of the shares on Offer. It also promises a follow-up phone call to discuss how you might wish to respond to the so-called Offer. I re-iterate BTG has not arranged any such Offer. It does not exist in reality. Take care!
A Warning Message to any shareholders who are contacted by e-mail re. proposed Open Offer of BTG shares at the discounted price of 295p! This Offer made by IB World International is a scam - as confirmed on the Company website. However it is a very professionally produced and authentic looking one. No such Offer exists, nor according to the FCA does IB World International have any authority to deal in the shares in the UK. Please be alert to the dangers.
