To be fair if they did want to take company private they could have found a way at any time with their majority holding and bakers going along i would of thought they will want to get it proved up to capacity 2-3 years stable production increased mine size with results then look to sell the entire operation.

There isn't that much in actual free float when you take out all the PI holdings must be either an ii tansferring stock about or an ii buying and another selling at a pre-agreed range or final price - you just wouldn't be able to pick up even 500k without moving the sp.

The moly price was around 80 at the time of pfs it then cratered to a low of 12.5 in 2015 and is currently around 27 so as i understood it was shelved as the mining cost would outweigh any market return considerably.
It may be simply that they can't reach an agreement or neither party wants to budge - 9 months is a long time to be in negotiation and with interest accruing constantly, 5 weeks to go until quarterly report hopefully get some decent news with an uplift in recovery rates.
