The presentation seemed very different to the impact of the RNS, storm issues to address but underway with gearing reduction first priority and pending disposal will get that down to below policy wile covenants on all projects are completely fine. On this continuation motion at the next AGM there was a question at the end on this and it was stated this is the scheduled motion every 3 years coming up. It's clearly up to investors and as stated the Board would only recommend not continuing if none of what they are doing happens. There focus is EBITDA growth and several routes too that were stated. While clearly risk here with SEIT and they have problems to overcome, it feels it not a case yet to wind up the company, in fact they se opportunity for growth. But they have to deliver of course for that so we will see. Don't have a large holding here and bought at just over 47p so will hold and see where this goes for now and really wanting the Divi income anyway for which there was also a final question on that on the future which seemed OK. We shall see.

To be strict its currently an MOU and pricing to be agreed according to the PRE RNS but agree that has got to be great news for them and shows where RBW may well end up. Don't think there is a shortage of players to take up supply, even RBW at this stage was linked to Mercedes last Sunday with them wanting to tale all of Phalaborwa output, see my previous post on the FT article. One thing really waits RBW now and that is the publication of DFS to confirm all investment detail/cost and the % purity they will run operations at. I expect offtake agreements to be put in place after that.

So anybody who has the potential for new supply routes is being approached it seems and not just for immediate supply.

I recall GB in one of his May interviews happen to mentioned the combined output of Phalaborwa and Uberaba would be similar to today's output from Lynas. Phalaborwa is due to be a third of the current output of Lynas in Australia (6000 tonnes stated), Uberaba is twice the size so combined makes it equivalent. Just puts into perspective the opportunity with RBW.

Interesting, FT reporting that Mercedes-Benz has approached RBW to "try to lay claim to the future output from its South African mine, according to one person familiar with the talks". Sounds like one possible offtake discussion which has leaked out. MB are talking to other suppliers of course and RBW is not the answer right now, but security of supply whatever the timescales is the need here.

I can only assume you are referring to confirming the DFS (done by the end of the year) is unchanged Tornadotony as everything else is from the progress update RNS anyway. However GB did 3 video interviews in May and in 2 I think (1 for sure as I've listened to 1) he stated the DFS is for completion by end of year. That is only a few weeks ago so don't think any email into RBW to ask for clarification will be of use. If you really want to check then there is cathym@rainbowrareearths.com email to use which is what I would use myself, I don't have any additional special access myself to RBW. On timescales the DFS is due to be completed by end of this year and is clearly a very key milestone. That hasn't changed otherwise the company would be obliged to state that. However that last RNS does highlight the multiple variables/trade-offs to work through and finalise for the DFS publication, so a work in progress statement. Some information will be issued before the DFS so within the next 6 months, i.e. "The Company intends to use the results of the trade-off studies to provide the market with an update as to the potential impact on capital and operating costs for the project ahead of the DFS publication".

Fairly simple answer to that in my mind. RBW is not near construction or production yet. Lynas is in production and expanding REO output capability, Pensana started construction last month at Longonjo with mine finance in place and placement with major shareholder also last month, so in their case I don't think their rise has actually anything to do with that news but the items I mentioned, basically they have had a good month of news. The impact of that article benefits those producing now i.e. Lynas. RBW is due to be in that situation (production) in 2028 or construction (late 2026/2027), it's just not now.

Announcements are due near term ahead of the DFS which is due before the end of this year. GB mentioned this himself on the 19th March, use the link below to listen to the interview and around 4 minutes in, where he states capex/open optimisation and purity optimisation are both going well and announcements due "quite soon", plus DFS on target for end this year. So we are close to more RNSs and that includes the expected one on Uberaba, Brazil as well. Exact timing will be done to getting all the results in they want, so there is no strict deadline.

It's already on this thread, go to post 906 from Dunk Biscuit so see RBWs own post on X saying exactly that. You didn't mention on that post you copied from Archie that it was from LinkedIn and that post gave detail of who attended. If you have a LinkedIn account you will be able to see that post on RBW thread there. If you don't have an account you will not be able to see it on that business subscription site. As Archie stated, that post appeared on the 22nd April just 2 days ago for the visit and also stated "this week".

Suggest next time you read what is stated more carefully. This visit happened "this week" and it was to the lab in Johannesburg. It is not the previous visit stated as an RNS on the 18th January 2024. Different mix of representatives for a start (DFC wasn't in attendance in 2024) and the lab did not exist back in January 2024!

And notably GB states after 5 mins on the 99.5% purity target, "work is going very very well and we will have good results coming out of that work to announce quite soon". Fairly clear indicator there then I would say, be patient and await the RNS in the near future it seems

Worth pointing out what the USA will be importing will include REMs and alloys for which RBW is not the primary supplier. So for example, RBW has a supply agreement with Less Common Metals for REO output from RBW, as part of LCMs plans for expansion in North America, EU and Asia. So one route is RBW supply of REO output to LCM at their EU premises. Their output of highly specialised strip-cast alloys and high-performance neodymium iron boron magnets, will then be imported into the USA, so a 10% tariff as of now applies. We will then see what the tariff situation actually is in 2027/28 anyway.

I would also point out RBW have made it clear they have no intention of making public specific detail of the chemical processes they are finalising, GB mentioned this in a past interview. The high level process diagrams will be the most that will be made public as included in their RNS's. If anybody is thinking the lack of public detail is lack of knowledge, it simply is not, RBW will just not make everything public. In terms of skills and knowledge, their management team contains experienced metallurgists, processing, recovery, feasibility and construction experts. But for what is a new unique process for REM extraction and separation for phosphogypsum sources of REMs (there will be other sources which other companies will focus on, that is not RBWs area of focus it is not just about RBW. Both Mintek (for the 1st stage) and K-Tech (for the 2nd CIX/CIC process) provide their own expertise for their respective stages, it is a collaborative technical team in place to finalise the optimised process for Phalaborwa and will continue to work with RBW for other projects notably the Uberaba Mosaic project we are expecting the PEA RNS to be issued shortly and has already been mentioned as an upcoming announcement in a recent interview.

George's statement on renewable power sources is at 29:45 into the Investor Meet Company webinar. As SM has said GB states there is a gigawatt of renewable energy being commissioned at the northern cape of South Africa (Wind and Solar based) to be fed into the gird. 2 licences have been issued for this green power and RBW are already in negotiations with 1 of those licence owners where only 10-12 megawatts of power is required. This will be less than 20% of opex costs. Also at around 44 mins into the presentation during the Q&A GB discusses the option for solar power at Phalaborwa if there was disruption off the grid which would be in the order of 10 megawatts capacity in one of the hottest places in South Africa. Either way RBW is covered.
